I love hearing her talk about social and political issues like this. I don't want to diminish anything Madonna has said about global conflicts, but I'm curious to hear her thoughts on Gaza. While she did mention Palestine in this post, the situation in Gaza is an unprecedented catastrophe that can swipe a nation off the Earth. 
Anyway, I don't want to discuss politics and she owes nothing to anyone. I'll stay curious.

I can't see why both can't happen?  Why not exploit her back catalog while still releasing new music. In fact, I'm sure that is gonna happen.  Let's keep in mind, Warners can do a lot here without Madonna having to approve every nostalgic release, etc.  However, we know she will want to be involved, but it should stop her from still producing new music. A lot has happened since 2019.  The music industry is still suffering and releasing new music is not the same as before.  She knows the usual avenues in getting her music heard is limited.  For the most part, her money maker is tours and merchandise.  Cultivating her back catalog will surely generate some nice pocket change as well, when more curated projects come forth as well as including her music in more films, TV and commercials. 
So again, I don't think people think there needs to be a rush.  However, there are a lot of fans who are interested in getting her back catalog remaster and hopefully re-issues of old albums with rare songs, demos and mixes.  I can't wait to see where this whole deal takes us in the next year or two, especially once her Interscope albums are under Warner's wings.

Its seems inexplicable to make a traditional 2 hour Hollywood style movie recreation and not a modern long form visual biography with Madonna telling her stories against the real footage. Ill keep an open mind that may be scenario with Garner in limited flashback scenes to tell the earlier stories.

I totally agree. I was not exactly equating WE to Visconti, but I think she was LOL. Count Visconti di Modrone was an aesthete and very concerned with the set design and the idea that everything in his films had to be real, not fake. Of course you know this better than I. Being an aristocrat with an innate good taste and sense of style, he KNEW everything and had nothing to prove, while Madonna had to learn it all  and therefore demostrate to us what she has learned. It's so blatant. Upper class themes were no stranger to Viscont but are to Madonna and, of all stories, she chose "W.E", which she approached with the emotions and sensibility of the middle classes. I'm pretty sure Tom Ford's first movie triggered her interest in directing. He, too, is very concerned with aesthetics. Both he and Madonna have inadvertently bourgeois taste when they want to affect aristocracy in their films. It's all this phoniness that conspires again many Madonna projects (her "lady of the manor" and "posh" british accent or her American Life rap are two examples amongst many). I know she is a big, big fan of Visconti, she named The Damned as one of her faves film ever; and named her son Rocco after a Visconti film, so all this emulation might have to do with that.

This could be interesting, a real visual biograpghy, a well written documentary, full of rare and unreleased footages, also from her stage performances, curious tales about how things went out and matters some provocations or ideas were built around and especially a good ANALISYS of what she did as an artist and a meaningful public figure for at least 25 years, cause fuck she deserves some serious credit about it! Love the idea and I would be, on this definitely yes, quite excited and eager to watch how the story would be developing in this kind of format 
 

It can be, but he talked about a track they recorded together inspired by her 80s sound and there was not mention of Perry. If I remeber well, he was just talking about a Madonna song. I think one thing doesn't exclude the other. M and Perry were photographed together last year out of a recording studio and Perry talked about a coming duet with a legend, so I'm quite postive about this. It would be nice if true, we'll see

So no reissues then either ? Not that we’ve come to expect anything now anyway seeing as this campaign has been one long bore of pointless vinyl reissues 🥹🙄
