I agree pretty much. The only thing I will push back on is the statement "ages between albums". Up until MX, it was a typical 3 to 4 year gap, with a few exceptions. And it's not like she didn't release anything within that time. Of course, some may not like what was released, but that doesn't mean there was 'nothing'. I think the issue now is (and she addressed a couple years back) is knowing the way people release music is different now. She even said, it's "re-invented the wheel". He deal with Interscope was nothing like the relationship she had with Warner, and even though she does have a deal with Warner, the way they may handle her new releases will be different from this point on. Also, I think music is still "a priority" to her, but a lot has happened with her since MX. And I'm sure her family does take more priority over her music career, but can you blame her? She has issues with he hip and leg at the tail end of the MX era. She had to have surgery. Then of course Covid hit, so that really put a huge damper on the music industry for a few years. Then once got back to music and touring, she nearly died, so yeah, I can see how priorities may have shifted a bit for her.
But yeah, like you, I'm enjoying all the stuff in between. I accepted that how she was promoting her self back in the day, isn't going to work today. But like always, she's adapted to the new ways of getting yourself out there. But of course, some of the most disgruntle fans with the loudest voices will stand out, but I'm quite content with how her career is going right now. Nothing is perfect, but she's hardly done and I know she'll probably release a few more new albums as well tour a couple more times. 😉

AI or not, I think it's great. Apart from a couple parts, it looks very much authentic. AI is getting quite scary to look this good.

I saw that merchant listing you posted. These are not always officially curated or coming from her team. Anyway, I do not believe it was even considered for the album as it wasn't finished. I'm not going to sit here and insult to make my point, but know it's not the fact "we people" have a hard time believing it, it's just common sense to know the song wasn't even finished to be even considered for the album once the track-listing was composed. Also, why after all these years, we're suddenly hearing this. If the song was truly considered for the album at time of composing the track-listing, it would have been more known, especially by long time fans. Lastly, I've been noticing a lot of people trying to re-write history based off of their assumptions and/or opinions. It doesn't make it any more true if YOU want to believe it. 🫠

Yes, it's fan fiction. As you explained, it was a song that was worked on before William Orbit got involved with the album. So the song was never considered to be added to the album, since it wasn't finished, still in demo format.

Great question. I think it probably would have worked great as a final track, or right before Mer Girl. I'm not a big fan of To Have and Not To Hold, so maybe swap out that song for Gone Gone Gone.

I’m not the one endlessly moaning here. Telling me to ‘get lost’ is just lazy deflection. I’d never stoop to telling you to disappear just because I disagree.
If most of what you post is complaints, maybe ask yourself why you’re even here. You clearly prefer an echo chamber, since anyone who challenges you gets insults instead of discussion. So juvenile!

Wow. I wasn't expecting this to even make much of a dent, and it happened so quickly. Thanks for sharing. Loving this demo so much. So happy, she and her team released it officially.

"Gone Gone Gone" is beautiful! I love it so much. Thank you, Madonna!!

Exactly, I'm not sure what people were expecting? Maybe that's the problem. I assumed it was going to be what already leaked. Though, the track does sound even better in the Apple preview. So no complaints here. This is already more than I expected. I thought the SKIN remix was going to be just it before the actual EP drops. So I'm happy they are pushing Gone, Gone, Gone. Another good move from her camp.
Yes, it sounds much clearer to me. Other sounds are really pronounced. ❤️

The mixes on this specific upcoming release are new edits of remixes commissioned during the ROL era. Most if not all have been released already in full. As some mentioned, this new release is adapted from an idea she had back then, when first releasing the ROL album. Her thought was that much of the songs she worked on were much longer, and she was interested at the time to release a companion remix album called Veronica Electronica, featuring those longer mixes. At the time, she wanted William Orbit to work on it, but between his schedule and hers, it just never came to life. Fast forward more than 25 years, and here we are with revisiting the idea, but curating something more condensed. No doubt a cash grab, but still a nice nod to the original album and idea. 😉

    Interesting...

Anyhoo... M sampling Vitalic would be nuts. And speaking of the Party Monster soundtrack, the spoken rhyme in "God Control" always reminded me of "Get Happy" by Happy Thought Hall from that soundtrack.

I think a lot of it comes down to the fact, we heard the demos. While I loved a lot of the demos, but they still sounded like they needed to be fleshed out more as well. What I've noticed with her most recent albums (and maybe it's been like this for much of her career), but she tends to get the vocals laid down, but her songs tend to find the sound and production after the fact.
