Couldn't do ..."you Know" while there's a Madonna show playing in background. I would be waaayy to distracted like "OMG I love that part" However, I like to listen to them while driving. But rarely watch a show all the way through. I'd rather watch part of it on youtube when i'm bored. Beside, I don't like the editing of the RIT and the quality i've got isn't that good either.

there's a french canadian radio called 105.7 Rythme FM that plays a lot of Madonna I would hear songs from her on a daily basis. Often from her 80's catalogue.
They often Play Borderline (heard today), Holiday, Lucky Star, La Isla Bonita, True Blue, Papa Don't preach (heard today), Open Your Heart, Like a Prayer, Express Yourself, Vogue, Music, Hung Up.

I don't mind the vocoder when well executed. I loved it on Impressive Instant, Nobody's perfect, paradise not for me, Die Another Day, Nobody Knows Me.
I can tolerate it on Medellin, it sounds alright.
But I hate it on I rise, it ruins the sons for me. The song would be a thousand times much better if she sang it naturally like she sang on Nothing fails, or intervention.
Future is a complete mess. you don't recognize her and you can,t understand a word.
I dont think it will get better, the snippet Extreme Occident that we heard is autotuned.
I feel like autotune takes away the emotions that she tries to deliver. And I love her normal signing voice it has a lot of texture to it, it's rich and warm and full of emotions. I miss her voice from Music/American Life/Confessions.

It's weird given how rich and warm she was sounding doing covers on Instagram and one off performances where you could feel the emotion. Yes, these tracks contain that but given the processing and different methods she's choosing to sing don't really give the strengths she possesses on what's been released so far. Even "I Rise" doesn't elevate as it should as she would probably sound acoustically without the overlay on the vocals.

I wonder if on the ballads she'll have raw or somewhat left alone vocals because even "Extreme Occident" has those Mirwais touches.

As for Living For Love, I wasn't aware of how much people didn't like/hated that song. I love the production, the piano with the house-ish beat reminiscent of the 90's while being very actual. I love how deep her voice is during verses, and higher during choruses. The lyrics are giving me hope and life. It helped me going through hard time where I actually picked up my crown and looked forward without duelling on the past.
Medellin is a nice care free, laidback sexy song but to me it's not empowering. however not every release has to be empowering. its okay !

I think personally that the song is more complex than people realise. The structure of the song is unusual and I still believe that what many people are calling the chorus is actually more like a pre-chorus. The drums falling out during the verses (like Like a Prayer) is also still unusual in today's music. Also people are so used to little 3min pop ditties that a 5min track challenges people. Hence the complaints about Erotica being overlong.  It would not be Erotica if the songs were all chopped in half. I hate radio edits, they suck out the soul of the song.

Hard Candy is one of my fave, even tho she has other artist with her it feels like her and for me the album is a classic. i like the rnb fresh vibe on it while still very pop. her voice sounds good too. But i know that it's not everyone's cup of tea

I wish it was love at first sight (listen). But it's not. I dont hate the song, but I don't love it either. I'm rather a little bit underwhelmed/disapointed
I just feel like this lead single is her weakest lead single ever. It doesn't have that Iconic Madonna touch like Ray of Light, Hung Up, Music, LFL, American Life, Hollywood, Die Another Day, Give it 2 Me, Ghosttown etc had. I know that I shouldn't compare it to her back catalogue, but I can't help it.
I know It's collaboration and not a feature (i know the difference) I feel that Maluma is a bit overly present. I wished Madonna shined more on her own lead single, however they have an undeniable chemistry. I think that 4 Minutes had a better ratio Madonna/JT
I'm not a fan of the editing of her voice, she sounds overly autotuned. and it's such a shame because she has a wonderful voice.
Production wise, I hear elements that I like such as the synth, little bit of guitar and other quirky beats. Percussions sounds nice, but sometimes the drum kinda takes too much place.
Theres part that I like, such as the ''1,2 Cha cha cha'' and the ''Slow down papi'' sounds really nice. I like the laidback vibe, it sounds sexy without trying too hard, it might be better out in the heat and sun with a sangria.
So it might be a grower.

I'm looking forward to the rest of the album, 1 song out of 15 is not a good indicator of the album.
P.S: I would take another Spanish Lessons over it. there I said it I love Spanish Lessons and don't care of how unpopular my opinion is

I had to listen a few times to get a feel for it and to form an opinion I could stand behind.  And the verdict is "Hells yeah!". Not gonna lie, I expected her to reach out like the hand of God and to snatch us all with some kind of crazy sonic earthquake, but this...it's more like a secret love letter slipped under the door to be savored repeatedly, sometimes alone, and sometimes with a close circle of intimate friends.  It's subtle in ways I wasn't expecting, but without being beige wallpaper.  And the subtleties, I think, are going to be the key to this one.  It doesn't throw you across the room, but rather insinuates itself into your brain.  I had to step away from the song after the second listen to do a couple errands and I was already finding parts of it stuck in my head.  It's definitely a grower, definitely a song to play while drinking cocktails with little umbrellas in them by the poolside, and definitely a summer jam.  It makes me want to wear a hat made out of fruit like Carmen Miranda.

I agree!  I remember being in Lhilly when 4 minutes was released and when the DJ played it, the ENTIRE FLOOR CLEARED!  The same happened with Give It 2 Me.  Hard Candy isn’t my fave album but it’s my husbands fave.
