I always loved this track. Like A Prayer was always a lost cause to me in content. It's singles (exclude Dear Jessie please) were solid and I felt like more could have been done. Analyzing religion and more angrier songs based upon her divorce should have been present. Aside from that little tangent, Act of Contrition left me stupid afterwards. It made no sense and sounded more like a feverish jumble of prayer and guilt. The ending is what gives it the character it has. What reservation was she yelling about and where was she? I love your dissection! I had thought of the restaurant before. I'd even gone as far to assume maybe that she was singing and someone in the background said some about a song missing in the computer and she abruptly freak if out, lol.

Yeah, Masterpieces production is harsh. Very loud and and hard. Don't et me wrong, I love it, but I don't know if it would have charted here at all. The U.K. would've ate it up, when it was just part of WE soundtrack they were.

No, music is what brought her to this point. It wasn't the music videos. It wasn't sex. It wasn't performing. It wasn't touring. It was her making music that launched her, everything else has been used to propel her up and forward. Touring is declining for her, she's getting older and obviously getting tired of it. I don't blame her. Sex will continue to sell, just not to the current generation. And I'm talking about her sex appeal. She's still got it going on, but the younger audiences that supply the current big names are interested in what sex appeal Rhianna or Taylor Swift bring. She will make more music, probably at a slower pace as we have been seeing. Less singles. Less music projects. But music is where it all began for her and as of lately she's been like a little musical bird. Covering songs, but nonetheless singing from her heart.

Yeah, she has a lot of material, and whatever singles she picks or the record coming picks, likely won't matter. They'll give her some Dancefloor number ones, ballad or not, thanks to remixes. Lately, the music on the radio is hit or miss. There are some good sounds, some good voices, but half are squeaky, light female artists, the male singers that all sound the same, or the current big names of the decade such as Rhianna or Taylor Swift. Madonna's hold just isn't in that place anymore. Her Cher moment hasn't happened yet, or may never happen. If her music is good, then true fans will knows. Trust me, I alienate people with Madonna all the time. Celebration helps me find the frequency (era) that they like most. Ray of Light etc

Rhianna is good in many ways. She has a great voice and good looks. But let's face it, her only real iconic song is Umbrella or S&M. Since then her songs have blurred. They're successful and catchy, but not powerful. Great dance songs, but not too thought provoking. I mean listen to Wild with DJ Khaled or whatever. It's like Hung Up, but worse since the whole song is nothing but a hit song from 2000. Only Hung Up was better and more relevant.

She cans do something like a 8-10 cities around the world but 2-3 weeks on each.
 
For example renting Olympia for 1 month with 4 performances per week

She'll more than likely sit on a stool and sing Candy Shop, Spanish Lesson, La Isla Bonita and Music and call it a day. 

I hope it's not full residency. I am only now able to even try going to one of her tours. And honestly, looking at her words, which could've been more off the top of her head, she says it's time to reinvent touring. A residence, like Britney or Vegas in general, would not be reinventing touring. So maybe she will cook up something more complex than the standard residency. Maybe touring globally but at a slower pace. Playing for a week or two in some of the most populated cites in the world. She could stay put longer that way. It would be different.

But to do a residency in one place on the planet would be a forsakening of her global fanbase. Rebel Heart was already the start of her cutting back, doing arenas this time around. Had she done what she had with MDNA, RHT might have registered as her third highest tour. She's also almost 60. And she has the twins now. I think what happened with Rocco, despite how stupid it was, may push her towards not traveling so much.

Just release a set with every single release ever. 4 or 5 discs. I know I'd be in heaven. No matter how successful the single release was. Now that is a definitive collection
