Well, Bananarama did the same thing with their first six albums a few months ago, so maybe Björk felt inspired.
Cassettes are very hot right now, for some strange reason.

I think they think they’re giving us a special bonus by providing extended versions ??

I'd much prefer they upload the maxi-singles than tamper with the albums. We already have the early albums destroyed in a similar fashion with extended versions used instead of the proper album versions.

I wasn’t expecting anything for the anniversary. I just think the sloppiness and lack of attention to detail is amateur as is the cover art. It may not be a physical release but it’s released officially and I am of the mind that things should always be done properly and professionally. Which is not the case here. So that’s why we’re upset.
Its the same story with her YouTube channel and it was the same story with Celebration. I don’t think it’s that’s hard to do this stuff properly.

Some of you lot are never satisfied. You were moaning she didn't do anything for 30th Anniversary and now she does you're still not happy, this has been officially endorsed by the the Queen herself so if it's good enough for her its good enough for me

I thought it was good. Not as good as Rebel Heart Tour though but overall not as bad as fans say. I think fans see so much on YouTube these days they have their own vision of what DVD's should be now (some even make their own from fan footage) so their expectations can never be met.
 
But if you compare the last 4 tour DVD's to the earlier ones it's very sophisticated editing and filming similar to watching a film. Drowned World Tour or The Girlie Show are very simple in comparison. But only the people that saw those in person will complain about those. Talk to any fans that saw DWT in person and they say the "DVD doesn't do it justice." Can a DVD ever really be the same as being there? Probably not.

She's expressed interest in wanting to release BAT and in an interview recently she talked about her regret in not documenting several tours in full and "preserving her legacy." I think you'll find she wants to do it but she has to have the time and the timing also has to be right.
 
It is likely the reason they haven't released The Virgin Tour on DVD is because they wanted to wait for when they can release the full show. Same as BAT, they want to release the Paris version and that will take work as it will likely need re-editing. They *could* just release the versions on TVT and BAT on DVD that have already been released if they wanted to. I am quite happy to wait and get something new rather than transfers of what we already have.

Don't Tell Me on TOAC sounds nice but is cut down to about 2 minutes
 
Borderline is great, she sounds great and I love the arrangement
 
Holiday is only about 30 seconds
 
The Like a Prayer bonus is really good too!
 
Overall a good release but for sure the extra could have been A LOT better. Ah well. Still a wonderful capture of the tour overall!

Actually, it was awesome that she did it! Meanwhile where were the supposed "great" female singers/lip syncers? Only those stars with true  conviction were there. Cher, Katy, Julia Roberts etc
