Arena is the happy medium, I believe, but I was at the London Palladium In February for Madame X, near the front of the first upper level, and I was so close to the stage it felt like I could almost touch her. So theatre has that advantage.

BIG venues all the way!!! Whoever thinks she can't fill them anymore is full of it! She is the most successful & highest grossing solo touring artist EVER! Period. That doesn't just go away so fast & easily. She has a HUGE back catalogue that would draw people no matter what if the setlists aren't full of nothing but fan favorites. If she starts doing a serious Greatest Hits Tour tho it wouldn't matter where she did it in a theatre or in an arena people would come. But the mass majority aren't going to come see a show based on one album that isn't really a success in the grand scheme of things. She could do multiple greatest hits tours over the next decade & revamp the setlists here & there & still manage to not cover half of her music. It just needs to be done right. Like the old tours. Shit do what Cher does & just stand in the middle of the stage the whole time while dancers & elephants & everything else in between do their thing around her. She doesn't have to jump rope, fly around on wires or do headstands and back bends anymore she's already done all that. Just sing the hits!!!! That's where the magic is! And do some new kick ass backdrop videos & more montage videos to focus on her legacy. That's my dream. Greatest Hits Tours all the way from here on out! Leave the promo tours & performing whole albums track by track for one-off MTV or Netflix specials. Tour around the world with hits! Just my opinion. Of course the fans will love whatever (at least I would anyway) & they would prefer theatre shows at the end of the day because that allows them to be closer to her which is evry fan's dream. But to draw the public masses - brings on the hits!!!!! And don't revamp them all. Perform original versions as much as possible!!!

Thank you. It is just what I was looking for. I was not imagining it  - according to these stats, Candy Shop is the most played song that was never a single.

On this site you can check a lot of touring statistics, it's pretty cool! I'm not sure if interludes and part-songs are included, but still it's a nice read.

I don't care very much about Candy Shop.  But I HATE Human Nature and I don't know why she thinks it was a hit and choose it so often for a tour setlist

For some reason ''Candy Shop'' popped into my head just now, and my initial thought was:  why does Madonna like it so much and perform it on her tours and live so often - or does it just feel that way?  In my opinion, it's one of the weakest songs on one of her weakest albums, and doesn't warrant the exposure it gets.  For me, ''Human Nature'' is another one I roll my eyes at.
Then it got me thinking - has anyone ever compiled a list all her songs and the frequency that she has played them on tours?  It'd be a big task but I'd be interested to see the numbers.  It's obvious which ones would be at the top.  It would be great to have a list which would also include even when part-songs are performed, included in medleys or songs on backdrops and interludes.
I'd love to see ''The Power of Good-bye'' and ''Time Stood Still'' someday played on a tour.

stevemic got a reaction from Voguerista in 2021 calendar
I used to love getting the Danilo official calendars so I'm very annoyed about this happening again in 2021.  I'll have to do what I did in previous years when there wasn't one:  1998, 2003, 2017 and this year, and buy the best unoffical one I can. The problem is they usually look cheap and badly designed, except the unofficial one I bought for 2020 - it was just as good as an official one.
I can't get through a day without Madonna in my life so a calendar is essential.

Madonna is an unsurpassable music legend and cultural icon and does not need to enter into these collaborations to make herself current or relevant - if that is the reason she does it. I do like Dua Lipa, however, and this is quite catchy though but nothing amazing.

I couldn't agree more with you. The thing with celebrity children is they are born into money and privilege and they use their family connection to "open doors for them" and often think they have inherited the parent's talent. This is hardly ever the case.

Sorry, but I don't really care about Rocco Ritchie, so I am going to counteract that with one of my recent favourite photos of Madonna.  She is the most beautiful person in the world but especially so in this photo.
Does anyone know where and when this ''shoot'' is from? I'm guessing around 2010.

Warner absolutely aced the single choices on every one of the albums they did for her apart from American Life.
The messy single choices from her Interscope days will forever haunt me.

I’m positive Madonna made her interscope single choices and she rarely got them right. The last ten years have been painful. The irony is she left Warner over repeated single choice arguments and video budgets. Let’s hope the same arguments don’t resurface or that she concedes the the fact that she doesn’t always know what’s best to market her.

No more or less than any other source.  All the signs point to it.  I'm hoping it's true - it could be a great new beginning and would guarantee many more years of new music.

No way. I dont want my M on a bar stool doing a acoustic show.  there may be others who jump around but nobody does it Like M.  No one does a show like M. I have seen plenty of the other ladies (loved their concerts) but there is just something missing.  The absolute detail of M's shows, the costumes and how M is always centre stage and in focus.  Some of the other shows with other artists sometimes the artist gets lost with all the dancers and some of the dancers costumes.  Oh dear.  they look like they have been picked up at a garage sale.  We should celebrate that M takes so much care in every aspect.  M has always used the joy of dance and movement in her music and shows.  That's a true part of her.  Look where she started. Lets not want to take that away.  Its part of the reason we love her so much.  She has had a injury.  It can happen to all of us who are physical. It has nothing to do with age.  Artists much younger than her have had it happened and cancelled whole tours.  We are just lucky this has never happened before in her career. rather than cancel the whole tour she's giving her best for most of us to see the show. Power to her
