Perhaps LAP reissue is the thing that was supposed to be released after Madame X. 
A new compilation would make sense. It would follow the pattern. 
It would be great if we get both.

Celebration wasn't focused on the 2000s. So, the next compilation probably will be similar, with some 2010 singles.
A new compilation isn't unrealistic. Madonna releases new compilations every ten years more or less.
1990 - The Immaculate Collection
2001 - GHV2
2009 - Celebration

It would fit Madonna's compilation pattern. However, is a hit collection still a thing? Yes, artists still do it, but this is a streaming era. What is the point if people can easily access any of those songs on steaming services? She didn't even a hit since HC era, so it would be like re-releasing Celebration with a few 2010s flops and new songs.
It would make more sense to release some special compilation. Ballads, dance songs, non-singles...
