I remember when I was very young, I was obsessed with the film Alien. Of course I was only about 7 when it came out, so the nearest I could get to seeing it was the full colour book which told the story with photos from the film.
One day a dog got hold of it and shredded the first 25 pages. I was distraught. But I never got another copy and still have my tatty original. 
In years to come your shredded Madame X sticker may mean more to you than the mint equivalent!

I much prefer to go to gigs on my own. Do everything at my own pace and not have to screech at someone to be heard during the show. I hate people who talk through gigs. 

I’m not a big ballads person, but Take A Bow is an exceptional song. In fact, Madonna is one of the few acts I like who have recorded ballads I also like. I love Diana Ross but her back catalogue is completely overloaded with them, and a lot of them are pap. 
I re-visited some of the album tracks again recently off this thread and my opinion of the album has slightly improved.

The starting price is coming down on these on ebay, now that UK copies are coming on the market. Hopefully those who still want it can get it at a more reasonable price than some of us paid. It is a lovely item.

Body Of Evidence may have been better if they’d cast a male lead opposite her who she had some chemistry with. She had zero chemistry with Dafoe sadly. He was a bad casting choice.

I remember really liking Who’s That Girl, but not seen it since it’s cinematic release. She was good in Dick Tracy too, and I did like Swept Away but it was difficult to like her, even at the end.
I’ve never seen Evita, so maybe she gave a more sympathetic performance, but I was always willing her to find a role where she could be likeable to the audience. Something a bit softer and vulnerable. I stopped paying attention after going to see Body Of Evidence because I was sick of the ‘I don’t give a F’ Madonna, being a bitch and flashing her ho ho everywhere. As it stands, I think that’s why she never clicked as an actress with the public. Wrong choice of roles probably, because I think she had the potential, like in League Of Their Own. Maybe she should have focused on character parts.

When I first heard the remix I was so disappointed my favourite track on the album was ruined.
Loved KIT on the album. Didn’t care much for the single remix. Neither did her UK label in all likelihood who released Dear Jessie instead and dumped KIT on the b-side of Vogue.
To me the single remix made the track worse, it diluted the power of the song, and made it less memorable. What it needed was a Yazz style The Only Way Is Up, energetic remix. It would have taken the message to another level. Instead we got a gear down mix. It sounded like a lot of the faders had been muted on several instruments by mistake. Bray’s own remix was better.
A rare Shep mis-fire IMO.

I completely missed the fact KIT had another 7” edit. I thought I had all the mixes. Now my OCD has kicked in and I have another bloody CD to find and not play!!!!
