More than just a reissue, the expanded album opens the vault to deliver long-rumored treasures fans have only dreamed of hearing. UNRELEASED TRACKS FROM THE ARCHIVES INCLUDE: “Warning Signs” – a shimmering, synth-driven track echoing Madonna’s early NYC club days “Desperately Seeking Susan” – recorded during the film’s production and never officially released until now “Crazy for You” (Demo) – the raw, emotional version that landed Madonna a No.1 hit “Into the Groove” (Demo) – stripped-back and electrifying, offering a glimpse into the early creation of one of her biggest anthems Adding to the magic are Nile Rodgers’ original, previously unreleased mixes of Like a Virgin tracks—offering a rare listen into the genius behind the album’s sonic direction before final mastering. These versions are crisp, funky, and bursting with the energy of the 1984 recording sessions at Power Station Studios. Bonus dvd/bluray disc features "The Virgin Tour" presented for the very first time in dolby system and featuring the previously unreleased performances of "Angel" , "Borderline" and "Burning Up". A Gift from Madonna to the Fans In a personal message shared via social media, Madonna expressed her deep affection for this transformative period in her career: “The 'Like a Virgin' era was when I truly became who I was meant to be. It was raw, bold, and free. I wanted to do something really special for the fans who’ve been with me since the beginning—and for those just discovering that magic now.” The Like a Virgin (40th Anniversary Edition) is more than a celebration—it’s a tribute to the bold spirit of the 1980s, to reinvention, and to the fans who have stood by the Queen of Pop for four decades. Available on vinyl, CD, cassette, and digital platforms with exclusive packaging, photos, and liner notes from Madonna and Nile Rodgers, this historic release is not to be missed. source aloto.com- "Bedtime Stories - The Untold Chapter"
I really don't get it... 1st album anniversary passed , Like a virgin passed by unnoticed... now this ray of light without announcement and the bedtime put to sleep... oh please this is all messy...- Looking for advice re: a legitimately one-of-a-kind Madonna item
Very interesting Andrew! The show (it had Dick Clark as Creative Consultant) was only performed back in oct 1982 for 9 times! exactly at the same time when Madonna's first single Everybody was first played on the radio in New York! https://playbill.com/production/rock-n-roll-the-first-5-000-years-st-james-theatre-vault-0000004183#carousel-cell166161 https://www.nytimes.com/1982/10/25/theater/theater-rock-n-roll-the-first-5000-years.html- "Bedtime Stories - The Untold Chapter"
It's pretty bizarre this story never surfaced in any form especially since it's a few months before she got her record deal for everybody... and just this makes me wonder if it is all true... I mean we basically know about the Paris time with Hernandez, The deal with Gotham and Camille, the naked photos but this .. given its importance of giving her a broadway contract how could this go unnoticed by biographers till this very day?- Which songs make you think "Madonna CAN SING."
When I read such bullshit I am really Shocked (as Kylie would say ). How can you write such mediocre comments on Kylie? Have you ever seen her live? Watched her singing LIVE??? She has such an agile voice (Lyric soprano). She's got pitch control and tone consistency. She can make smooth transitions between registers and is praised for her live vocals, especially in later years. How these type of fans always freely insult other singers just to prove or compare (nothing really) is really annoying.- "Bedtime Stories - The Untold Chapter"
a little reminder it was October 25th exactly 7 months ago... words are useless....
