But she chose him, not the other way around. She was the one who decided to hire him to go into that direction (we have the infamous letter to Patrick Leonard as proof). They elevated each other in the process, Orbit had never done something like that before.
I'm not sure where this narrative of "Ray Of Light" being a Madonna & William Orbit album instead of a Madonna album comes from. She called the shots. He helped her (immensely, yes) with her vision.
He's entitled to nothing. Except the big royalty check each quarter, of course.
This narrative of the male producer coming and saving the project doesn't sit well for some reason. If anything, she saved herself by choosing him.

Yea, it's a bit random the rest of it- how would he not have heard these remixes - they were EVERYWHERE back in the day. ROL was the second single, the Sasha remix she used live at the Celebration tour that HE attended lol.
