I think she’s just tired at that point in the show. The Like A Virgin late interlude gives her a break to regain some energy for the finale…Maybe it would benefit her to sing Rain/Frozen/Take A Bow after the Jackson tribute, even if it doesn’t flow. It’s somewhat obvious that part of the show is missing something, and they’ve done their best to bridge the gap so to speak.
She’s literally amazing for being the consummate pro that she has proven herself to be by forging ahead with this tour after all that she has been through. No, her voice isn’t able to sustain itself as easily for two hours as she managed forty or thirty years ago, and we will never know if it is a respiratory issue, fitness, fatigue, age or just usage, wear and tear. It can be very taxing on the vocal cords to bellow in an arena several nights a week for six months. When she performs acoustic she sounds much more confident and comfortable.  We all know that when she is singing softly she sounds absolutely glorious…her performing Between The Bars and Can’t Help Falling In Love are great examples of this. In fact, I bet she could sing most of her back catalog pretty comfortably close mic-ed in a studio booth.

Did I already say Madonna is amazing? 🤩

I think i told you this already but yes I've seen Mariah live in Berlin in 2018 and believe me when I say i enjoyed Madonnas vocals much more than hers. You could hear her struggling with her nodules while Madonna still sounds like herself and so soothing.
I think some of us are way too hard on M. Her voice is still in a great shape imo.

Thank you thank you thank you! As I scroll down with my WTFs loaded and ready....
This is Madonna LIVE, whether it's The Celebration Tour or The Virgin Tour, this is Madonna LIVE. Not every show on every tour will be the same or check the boxes of whatever stream of key performance indicators and litany of critiques whomever is/are concerned about.  The only constant we can, gratefully, be certain of is her presence,. Thank God for that.
Like, seriously people, if y'all complained this much sitting next to me at her show, I don't think I'd be the only one to emphatically respond in unison with a polite STFU! lol.
I remember when I was a kid and my Mom surprised me with The Virgin Tour VHS. I didn't even know it existed, I was only 7. I asked why Madonna sounded different. My Mom answered, very matter-of-fact, "That's Madonna LIVE."
I loved it then and I still do now. She sounded like the fierce ladies in my family. She even did a shout out to her Grandma and my Grandma would get the biggest kick out of that. Last night she did Take A Bow and, maybe she was feeling the song, maybe she was feeling this mood or that mood, maybe St. Paul didn't deserve Rain because they were bitching about her coming on at 10:15 and 78-80 degrees is too hot for people coming into the arena from an outside temperature of 27 degrees/feels like 25 degrees. I know what it would sound like if I were channeling THAT energy. Whatever the case may be, that's Madonna LIVE.

Oooph!! If you listen closely it’s not THAT bad. She’s definitely cautiously singing while a lot of us “shower singers”  in the crowd are really adding to the “bedtime stories cassette left on the dashboard back in the summer of 1995” effect. She’s got balls to sing a song that was challenging to sing 30 years ago in a studio and that’s one of the many reasons I love her. I bet she could’ve trotted this out for a few lines  accapella and done okay (and fans would complain that’s not enough).

"Knowing not everyone enjoys my input"
That's because you only pop up here once in a while when there is a performance with really bad vocals. Telling everyone how your the expert 😅... The tour has many decent to good vocals and we never hear you about those. That's why you anoy people.. I bin critical about some of the performances to vocally, but i also give credit if she sounds good, and yes she does on many performances this tour. And don't come with those bullshit " loud backing tracks blabla " because she can be perfectly heard most of the time. Even the accapella moments she sounds fine ( little star, i will survive, express yourself, sodade, this used to be my playground) ... Again, we are totaly fine if your critical about the vocals, but its nice to say something positive about them to because she definitely doesn't sound bad all the time.

There is actually a difference between
third and final Miami date (official statement)
    and
last and final show (Madonna IG)
Also because this is not the last show, which is Mexico April 26.
I wonder if she really wants to clarify that they won't add any more shows in the tour or simply say that it's the final Miami show.
At the same time, the official statement says the tour will wrap in Mexico. But that's how it is at the moment...

Taylor is overrated and annoying asf. Dropping an album every year without any artistic growth + these lame and desperate Re-releases. She's lucky to have these crazy devoted fans and a good PR team tho.

Taylor Swift scares me. She's that mean girl person. The way she's daily and worldwidely pushed down our throats with her love life and saint like behaviour is nauseating. Most people (especially outside of the usa) can't name one of her songs and even when they get Shake It off out their mouths they can't remember the lyrics or the tune. She must have a very strong PR machine because the scrutiny she's subjected to daily does not seem to bother her, except when she's not in control of it. She's that breed of new popstars like Gaga and Beyoncé where everything is calculated, under control, sterile and fake. There's something totalitarian about them.

To me, Taylor Swift is insufferable. She seems spoiled, disingenuous, immature, and entitled. I find her music mediocre at best, and her live performances are a travesty. I think after the changing of the guard at the end of the 2000’s with the arrival of people like Lady Gaga there was a rejection of the mystique of the untouchable star, and everyone had to become accessible and cater to the fan base and public. I believe Madonna suffered a lot as a result of this as she was suddenly characterized as looking down her nose at her public. But Taylor Swift is what resulted from that. This “every girl” who has the same idiot emotional spectrum as her overgrown fans. She’s 34 writing poetry straight out of a Dear Diary for Dummies that you’d expect from 14 year-olds, and the generalized infantilism of young adults in today’s culture means they hail her a genius of authenticity and relatability. The standards are unbelievably subpar nowadays, and having a juggernaut of popular music history like Joni Mitchell perform tonight only further emphasized the contrast. All just opinions, for sure, and while Swift irks me when I see her, I have to say she’s also usually quite easy to ignore. While I’m sure she didn’t intend to so blatantly disrespect Celine Dion by grabbing her award from her without acknowledging her with even eye contact, it just serves as an example of everything I suspected about her…that her head is ultimately so far up her own ass that she can’t help herself .
