To be fair Janet's biggest markets were the USA and Asia circa 1986-2002 - she didn't have that many hits outside of those regions so not worldwide as such

The passage of time is like a powerful enemy that most artists cannot defeat and we see that when the radios refuse to play the songs of artists who are past a certain age or from the same society that considers it uncool to listen to songs by someone older but I think that you can defeat that enemy and the key is innovation, creating an innovative product with good compositions will make the album reach the top of the charts by itself. Madonna herself said in an interview in 2001 where she talked about Radiohead and where she considered their work as art and that good things somehow make it to the top of the charts

So we see that having a new Queen of pop will never come true since achieving everything that Madonna did for society is something that today's stars don't seem to be willing to do since they don't want to compromise their careers on behalf of some social struggle (and that there is still so much to do in this world and they could use their popularity to achieve a change). Madonna is the perfect example of how a change of hairstyle can make you look totally unrecognizable and she has done it since the beginning of her career. I remember the Music era, when she released the video I knew it was her even though there was a big difference with Ray of Light's look but when she released the video for Don't Tell Me I didn't recognize her at first (the credits didn't come out in the video) until I saw it on another TV channel days later (where the credits did come out) and I finally knew it was her.
Madonna has so many spectacular looks that it is difficult for me to choose one, an example is the one she wore at the Met Gala, the perfect hairstyle and wardrobe and despite the fact that the wardrobe makes her show her butt, she does it with class and not vulgar like others. What a pity that a video of this catchy and beautiful song has not been made, but apparently Madonna had already decided in advance what the singles of her new album would be (in fact, the videos had already been recorded before the release of the album) and Faz Gostoso was not included in that group even though the song achieved more popularity than all the other songs on the album. A video where Madonna dressed as a dominatrix tries to subdue Anitta who is characterized by her overloaded sensuality would have been great.

Thanks to this soundtrack we were all surprised to see Madonna's vocal capacity and she showed us that when she wants she can make such beautiful songs where not only the sound surprises but also the voice (something that does not happen with most artists who cannot achieve both stuff). How I wish that Madonna had taken her career more seriously after this album and Ray of Light since after these albums she was no longer interested in continuing to train her voice and we were resigned to listening to that dull and flat voice that does not surprise or excite on albums like Hard Candy or Mdna where her voice sounds the same throughout the song and lacks those nuances that help enrich it.
Hopefully she surprises us with a new album where she reminds us of the missing voice she gave us with Evita and Ray of Light.

It has been brought to my attention that there are other users concerned about this also but they dont say anything because of the hostile reaction here. All the signs of alcoholism are there, drinking day and night, slurred speech, weight gain and puffy face. She can do whatever she wants but that does not mean we can't have concerns, nobody is attacking her, we are just wondering because of blatantly obvious signs. Madonna is an adult woman, not some baby that everyone needs to defend to the point of delusion. I swear she could film herself shooting heroin and there would still be a majority of users defending it as no big deal. Only alcoholics drink in a car heading to a dinner where they are going to drink some more.

In the Human Nature video I remember that a scene where Madonna appears holding an adorable dog dressed as a dominatrix caught my attention. In the comments on the video (Youtube) I found out that it was her pet and her name was Chiquita and that she also had two other dogs named Rosita and Evita. I remember being happy to find out and thinking "It's good that Madonna has that love and sensitivity towards animals just like me", so I decided to look for more information about those three beautiful dogs but what I discovered left me petrified.
It turns out that those little animals were a gift from her "close friend" Ingrid Casares but apparently it was not a simple gift but rather those little animals represented a kind of "symbolic daughters" for the two (more for Ingrid) given the clandestine relationship they evidently had since Madonna and Ingrid always appeared together as soon as they appeared at a social event. This explains why Madonna kept the dogs by her side for so many years (from 1994 to 2001) even though she never liked animals or knew of any pets previously. To please Ingrid's wishes, she had to pretend to accept the dogs and kept them by her side until 2001, when she saw that she already had a real family (two children and a husband), she decided to get rid of them, which represented a reality that it no longer made sense to keep.
That is why she decided to send them to a low-class adoption center (which proves that she never loved the dogs and only had them by commitment) where they were savagely mistreated and one of them even ended up dying due to serious injuries. Some animalists managed to contact Madonna's staff asking for her intervention but she excused herself saying that the final destination of the dogs was no longer her business. Fortunately, the two surviving dogs ended up in the hands of one of these animalists, but with serious physical damage and probably, due to the trauma they experienced in the adoption center, their last years of life will not have been the best.
A dark chapter in Madonna's life where she demonstrated her cruelty towards her pets and animals. A contradiction since one can fight for the rights of women, gays, fat people, old people, midgets, etc. but at the same time trample on the rights of others, in this case of animals that also have rights and do not deserve to be mistreated or used as objects to show off in front of the cameras and once they are turned off, throw them away like a package of garbage.
