I don't think it's an intended feature. Someone explained to me that it's because of Out Of Phase Stereo, after I apparently incorrectly assumed it was intentional matrixing.

Dolby already does a pretty decent job matrixing to surround. I've tested her CDs very little, but the vocals stay at the front and some of the instruments and chorus even go separately to the surrounds.

Because the fake upscaling would be even more obvious in 4K. I'm not getting my hopes up for real HD remasters yet.

4K? I'm not that greedy. I'd be very happy with grainy, more saturated, filmic looking native HD Blu-rays. I don't think we will ever get anything as packed as the Celebration DVDs, though. Not even close to it.

Darn. I shouldn't even be surprised. These concerts are about (1) promoting the newest album and (2) playing what's popular, and how often do you hear Rescue Me on the radio.

Drowned wasn’t so much her distancing herself from her past in that she simply had an insane amount of NEW material to cover.
Bedtime Stories, Evita, Ray of Light, Music. Oh, and Beautiful Stranger… there were so many NEW songs to play.  And that’s not even including some things that got skipped over entirely… I’ll Remember. This Used to Be My Playground. The new songs of Something To Remember. And I suspect I am forgetting a few things…

I don't know what the setlist is, but I'd rather have much more new songs than old. Even with Blonde Ambition, Girlie Show and Drowned World, I generally preferred the newer songs. Then again, the Madame X album isn't nearly long enough to cover a whole concert. I just hope there is very little debut album, Like a Virgin, True Blue and Like a Prayer in there, which are too different from the new songs.

All my Blu-rays, DVDs, books and CDs are in a cabinet with DOORS. I would never store such stuff long-term in an open cabinet that all the kitchen fumes, sunlight, dust and moisture could get in more easily. Not like anyone who might ever visit would be interested in looking at that stuff.

Sex is 'used to sell' everything. Just check advertising.
What Madonna did (does) is using female empowerment that, the day of today when is out of certain norms, is perceived with a  crooked vision.
Women had been always placed under submissive, asexual, prudish figures. So if Madonna was proud of her body she was using sex to sell. When she talk about sexuality, she was using sex to sell. And so on.

I didn't watch Rebel Heart, but I found the MDNA movie pretty mediocre for the reasons I already stated, plus most of the songs just not being very good, with even songs from her better eras mostly sounding worse. The latter is irrelevant to the Madame X movie, though. I have no idea what songs were played in the tour and I don't want to know until I watch it. But the insane number of shots in any one minute of MDNA worries me most about Madame X, and I'm surprised that doesn't get more criticisms. The editing was awful. You can barely focus on what's in front of you because it jumps to the next shot within two seconds, maybe three.

God, I hope this isn't edited like the MDNA Tour I watched yesterday. On average, I would say the shots change every 2.5 seconds, sometimes less. Divide that into 113 minutes and you have around 2700 shots. Probably much more, considering the more rapid cuts. The crazy, erratic editing (sometimes interspersed with slow motion shots) doesn't even flow together that comprehensively much of the time. In fact, the chronology seems broken at times. She holds the microphone for one audience member, in the next shot for another and in the following shot she takes the mic away from the first person. I didn't even realize until over an hour into the movie that part of the audience floor is inside the narrow parts of the stage because of the rapid editing. The heavy color filtering, digitally inserted elements (not frequent at least) and about twelve minutes of black and white with high contrast still captures doesn't really help either, in my opinion. Even a movie as recent as The Drowned World Tour from 2001 has far fewer shots, which lets you better appreciate what is going on better. It's so much more relaxed.
I tried to look out in the credits for who edited it, but if it was there I didn't catch it.
