Veronica-Electronica reacted to Pootz333 in POLL: Favorite Title TrackI can knock out 2 or 3 songs, but the rest are all so good. It's way too hard.

Veronica-Electronica reacted to WeYo in POLL: Favorite Title TrackRight now I'm really into this track ..

Veronica-Electronica got a reaction from Voguerista in POLL: Favorite Title TrackI voted for Music, I have a real soft spot for that album and sonically I still think Music (the song) is really unique and innovative. I was tempted to vote Like A Prayer because it is undoubtedly iconic (an adjective that admittedly is thrown around too freely but it really applies here), and if the Avicii version of Rebel Heart was released I would have possibly even cast my vote there!

Veronica-Electronica got a reaction from Mer Girl in Ray Of Light - 27th AnniversaryLove reading how much this album means to others here, it’s certainly a very important album for me.
At the time I remember being drawn in by the ‘darker’ sounds on this album, even the music videos for this era had darker themes than a lot of other pop music at that time.
I was fascinated by her change in aesthetic, perhaps her biggest departure aesthetically(?), and her sensibility for personal reinvention has become a core part of my own identity.
Also, the remix packages from this period were top-tier. I hunted down most of the cd singles at the time, many were imports (there used to me a couple of awesome record stores in my city that would get a lot of international releases imported) and I’ve only recently decided I want to add the ROL singles to my vinyl collection - so far I only have my favourite, Nothing Really Matters.
I would have died if the proposed Veronica Electronica remix album saw the light of day, hence my username. To be honest I still hold out the tiniest piece of hope that maybe it might come to fruition as one of the specially curated releases as part of the Warner deal (don’t come for me! 😆). That would be the perfect opportunity to finally officially release the Collaboration Remix for Skin. Maybe for the 30th anniversary of ROL we will get something similar to the (hopefully) upcoming Bedtime Stories EP. A girl can dream.
Thankyou @Rosita The chihuahua for starting this thread.

You don’t have the slightest idea of how to conduct a comparison between variables right?
From CHATGPT to help you grasp what it takes to make the analysis you want vs quality or maturity of a song
When comparing the performance of two similar products released in different years, it’s essential to account for a range of market dynamics that could have influenced their success. Here are some of the key factors to consider:
• Economic Cycles: Understand the broader economic conditions (e.g., recession, boom periods) that may have impacted consumer spending and investment in the product category during each decade.
Consumer Behavior and Demographics
• Shifting Preferences: Consumer tastes, lifestyles, and values change over time. What appealed to consumers in one decade might not be as attractive in another due to evolving trends.
• Demographic Shifts: Changes in population size, age distribution, and income levels can influence market size and the product’s target segment.
Competitive Landscape
• Market Saturation: Evaluate how many competitors were present in each period and how crowded the market was. A product launched during a less saturated market might have enjoyed a clearer pathway to market share.
Marketing and Distribution Channels
• Media and Advertising: The way products are marketed has transformed significantly—from traditional media (TV, print) to digital and social platforms. This influences both brand perception and consumer engagement.
• Sales Channels: The evolution of distribution, from brick-and-mortar retail to e-commerce, impacts accessibility, pricing strategies, and geographic reach.
Cultural and Societal Influences
• Social Trends: Broader cultural shifts—such as sustainability concerns, health and wellness trends, or shifts in lifestyle—can drive consumer expectations and brand positioning.
• Brand Loyalty and Reputation: How brands build and maintain trust over time can be influenced by the societal context, customer service practices, and community engagement.
Data Metrics and Performance Indicators
• Different Measurement Standards: Ensure that performance metrics (sales volume, market share, profitability) are adjusted for contextual factors like market size, regional economic conditions, and technological capability at the time.
• Availability of Data: Historical data might be less granular or consistent compared to modern reporting standards, requiring careful normalization for a fair comparison.

So damm pretty

The remixes were the best, what an incredible set. The covers are beautiful, I remember how beautiful NRM was, and it is still very elegant, well finished.
I remember how modern that sound sounded. Every sound until then seemed a little raw.
Big hugs <3

How she went from the Like A Virgin look to this and it didn't derail the era should be studied and taught in schools. God bless her.
