MikeyK got a reaction from nito84bcn in Veronica Electronica - ROL Remix Album on Silver VinylThe problem w/the leak theory is that if taylor swift or lady gaga officially released a song that had leaked and circulated among fans for years it’d still be getting hundreds of thousands of streams daily. Obviously their audiences are more streaming oriented anyway. But their people would have done a better job of making sure the casuals knew about it as well. Release radar would have helped this at the very least.
Plus plenty of people here who already have it were more than happy to stream it so they could share their critiques compared to leak.

I loved Gone Gone Gone can't wait for tye other mixes

I'm usually very picky with audio quality but expecting audio gold from a 1997 demo... was never gonna happen, honestly.
It's a demo, after all. And tagged as such.

Full first 24 hours report for "GGG" on Spotify:
Not bad at all! "Skin" remix did 47.296 there on its first 24 hours (released on a Thursday).
BUT that one was included on Remix Radar, which gave it a boost on the following day up to 191.528 streams during its first two days.
"Gone Gone Gone" won't have RR playlist help.

The original liner notes/product info on Amazon UK, already changed to the madonna.com ones.
Amazon don't really take the time to do those, they just put whatever labels send to them.
That came from Rhino.

Since his photoshoots are credited on every issue of the album, it's impossible. He's not a random session photographer.
Wait for the lawsuit.

Demos aren't necessarily "produced" by anyone, since they're the recording of sessions of M (who is a producer herself) sitting with whoever including maybe the songwriter in a studio and playing around. The production process per se takes place after the songs, the musicians and engineers have been picked by the album's producer when they start recording the final versions.

MikeyK got a reaction from PlayPause in Veronica Electronica - ROL Remix Album on Silver VinylHe’s nobody, but as a relatively old gay that bought it on itunes (and streams it) I felt seen.

MikeyK got a reaction from DoneGone in Veronica Electronica - ROL Remix Album on Silver VinylOh for sure! I’m sure she’s aware, and I bet warner is watching too. But at the same time, while it was sitting at #1 most of the day here on itunes (currently #2) it never even cracked the top 200 pop songs on apple music. We’ll see how it does on its first full day on spotify. But seeing this could be why they don’t consider it worthwhile to make an effort to push her on the streaming side. Feels like a vicious circle. 🫤

MikeyK got a reaction from RUADJAI in Veronica Electronica - ROL Remix Album on Silver VinylRegardless of its original intent and what some folks think of it I really love the song and it’s drum & bass-y sound. It feels very 1997 to me, and sounds a bit more genuinely “electronica” than some of what ended up on the album. I don’t even think it sounds that demo-ish, just not as pop polished.
I can imagine a video for it w/her looking sallow in a greenly lit council flat w/lots of sped/slowed editing that you’d see late at night between cuts from Chemical Brothers, Tricky, Crystal Method, Prodigy, etc. (Not that she’d ever allow herself to look unflattering 🙃)

MikeyK got a reaction from PlayPause in Veronica Electronica - ROL Remix Album on Silver VinylYes. Some of the information that was published about it said that it was intended to be the last song early on. It was shared and discussed here.

MikeyK got a reaction from DoneGone in Veronica Electronica - ROL Remix Album on Silver VinylThanks for confirming. I really wasn’t expecting this song to become a surprise runaway hit but it would’ve been nice to see it get some exposure. Maybe Warner’s intention for this whole release is sales-focused. Just an initial surge and that’s more or less it. Rainbow edition later down the line if the initial sales are strong enough. 🤪
(I also can’t help but wonder if this is an example of the rumored issues she supposedly has w/them.)

New Music Friday is only for new tracks released that week, so no. And let's be honest, a 1997 Madonna demo was probably never gonna make NMF for the biggest countries.
But missing Release Radar is bad. "Skin" has almost a million streams already thanks to that playlist boost.
