Big Alice Cooper fan here. He is 74 and since he was Madonnas current age he has released 2 albums, 1 ep and 3 live albums recorded over those years....and he still aounds as great live in person as he did 22 years ago. Madonna has easy got what it takes and the fan base. So i expect easily 2 or 3 more studio albums.

I'm sure she will release more albums. I figure she is taking a break right now while she's doing some of these re-issues, but I imagine within 2 years we'll get something. Age has nothing to do with it. Look at Cher who released an amazing album in 2013 at the age of 67 and is currently in the studio right now.

Also, she has been in contact with a lot of her old producers. So maybe that will push her to consider making new music with some of them or make her go a different direction altogether. I think she’s suddenly in contact with these producers as they are being pulled back in for the reissues. They’d likely have stems that could be missing or input on finishing demos for commercial release.

I don't want to wait another 4 years until she's 65 for another album and I really think she should do a fun non political dance album like COADF

Truly, Madonna's albums are not all that political.  A few songs sprinkled in here and there and the project becomes a political anthem for some but the records actually remain mostly upbeat and fun.  Erotica was truly her most political album as it was a complete and undeniable political dick in the face statement on sexual politics.  It was definitely her most polititically thematic album.  American Life and Madame X were really fun electronic pop records with a few political statements mixed in.  Sure, Confessions was less direct but her execution delivered a stronger, political message than her "political" albums.  It was clearly a feminist manifesto and a furthered attack on patriarchy and religious intolerance.  It was Express Yourself 2.0 with the addition of stained glass and a powerful edict.  Confessions on a Dancefloor contained marching orders even if they were buried beneath encoded disco music.

Everything is political, and a dance floor is like a political meeting of people coming together for the same reason: party and pleasure. So many bigots and conservative people want to strip that away that advocating for this right is a political statement. Disco carelessness has always been enlightening because it helped minorities claim back their freedom.

That idea is in M's book from the start : "everybody, come on dance and sing" / "if we took a holiday, everything would be okay" are essential to M's philosophy built on hedonism and emancipation.

It's not because idiots prefer listening young singers like Taylor Swift (just because she's younger and less controversial :)) that Madonna 2010's albums are flops. If she was 30, song like Living for love, Girl Gone Wild, Turn up the radio or God control would have been number ones. The real problem is that even Madonna fans judge album and songs by charts. They don't care about quality. They don't even care about their own tastes. Only charts are important :cryin2: Personnaly, I don't care about charts. If I like a song, I like it, even if i'm the only one, I like it.

Fortunately Madonna doesn't care about fucking charts too and as long as she will have something to say, she will do new albums !

The most controversial thing she has done is to stick around after 50.

THANK YOU!!!

At a certain point, every artist is going to pushed out of the charts, no matter the quality of the work (and that's subjective itself). I mean, should Prince or Bowie have just given up after the charts left them behind? My god, how incredibly ignorant some folks are.

I can’t imagine Madonna ever stopping! As long as she is here with us, she’ll be making music and dancing!

She even said herself she has no interest in retiring, and there is no signs she's interested in doing so.  She will be one of those artists who will keep going until she no longer can.
