Is Madame X Going To Be The Last Studio Album Madonna Will Release?

The interesting thing to me, though, is that..... Madonna is an artist. Through and through. Every artist I've ever been a fan of in pop music has been highly inspired by major tragedies and significant events in their lives. Madonna experienced a cataclysmic, terrifying event this past summer; something she had never experienced prior. As an artist, how could she not be inspired to create art from it? That's all I know artists to do. It would be utterly shocking to me if she has not worked on music in response to her near-death.

I mean Madonna has created art based in so many events in her life or the world around her shed done about life affirmation stuff , two divorce albums, two motherhood albums, three very political satire albums, two response to backlash albums, a break up album, and also very influenced by her siblings father's health and mothers death

...so it would make sense now she's mid 60s suffered that and reclaimed herself to heal through touring with her family globally seeing adoring fans post pandemic and social isolation ...it's a lot

I mean I try not to compare divas with divas but like Cher had a decade between Living Proof and her burlesque songs then another 3 years before a new studio album and another decade on top of that for her festive album ...I think as artists get older new releases become fewer and farther between ...I mean in the space of a decade we have had Rebel Heart and Madame x...two albums in ten years is crazy when in her early days from 1983-1994 we had 7 albums of new material and a soundtrack album ! And from 1998-2008 5 albums and two compilations it's crazy

I do wonder if she has anything ready at all for a new album at this point. It would be fantastic if she could come out swinging right after the tour wraps with a new single. I think riding the wave of the tour directly into a new album campaign would be a smart move. And then she would only have the new music and release strategy to focus on instead of the usual album/tour combo.

Pipe dreams at this point, because we know how much she likes to share when she's actually in the studio. We'll see. Hopefully within the next year.

I think Madonna will focus on her visual autobiography, and release reissues of the old albums to keep us happy.
When she releases the movie, there might be some cool souldtrack.

She looks so tired on this tour, so a new album? No, I don't think so.

IF she has one more album in her, it'll take a few years.

Artists of Madonna's status commonly step off the 'album every 2/3 years' treadmill, not least cos there's little point in it. But it's evident she continues to be motivated by an artistic impulse - she will definitely make another album when she's ready. And no doubt plenty of her own hardcore fans will complain about how it's not Confessions Part 2!

Yeah but with Madonna you always have to follow the money. And the money is in touring, not in album sales. So I don't see her releasing an album just to release an album. If she releases an album there will be touring involved.

Aw lovely seeing Madame X thread pop up ...can't believe it'll be 5 years in pride month that it was unleashed onto the world

Now we are discussing if she ever will release an album of new material again... The tour was a success I dare say at course correcting the balance a fair bit and hopefully it'll influence her next direction of how she may approach her next era as she approaches 70 each new thing she does I think we shall appreciate differently

She doesn't have to compete anymore the tour prices she can just nail it if she released an album it'll sell well from the huge fanbsse anyway the state of the world today naturally would I fouebce material but still we shall see there'd plenty of time
