Yes, Like A Virgin 40 will pass with at just a social post from Madonna. 

Not convinced that Open Your Heart will happen now and if it does it will be without the elusive 7” mix :(

It's very annoying how they didn't re-upload the "Die Another Day" EP and there's no sign of "Open Your Heart" either.

I feel like we're being trolled at this point. Only hardcore fans care about these releases, it makes no difference if we know they're on the way.

Was anyone actually expecting Open Your Heart tonight?  The anniversary was Nov 12th which would be next Tuesday.  The Die Another Day mess happened on October 22nd, the anniversary of the DAD release and also a Tuesday.  If we get it at all this year, it wouldn't be this Friday.

The whole anniversary release date thing was cute for a couple of releases. But ever since it has been just an annoying constraint. Of course they need to pace the releases, but the idea of releasing some random single on digital on a specific day/week based on a date decision made twenty, thirty, forty years ago is beyond anal. What frigging difference does it make? Give me You Must Love Me today, Die Another Day next week and Dress You Up the next week. It’s not even like they have some clever mastermind strategy to build streaming numbers using the catalogue. The world won’t explode.

- Die Another Day (Thunderpuss Club Edit) 

- Die Another Day (Deepsky Radio Edit) 

- Die Another Day (Brother Brown Bond-age Radio Edit) 

- Die Another Day (Richard Vision Radio Edit) 

And (The Dubs): 

- Die Another Day (Dirty Vegas Dub) or start off with the instrumental of the original song and then this 

- Die Another Day (Thee Die Another Dub) 

- Die Another Day (Thunderdub) 

- Die Another Day (Deepsky Dub) 

- Die Another Day (Brother Brown Bond-age Dub) 

- Die Another Day (Calderone Afterlife Dub) 

Both following remix packs would have been amazing and each would have a bonus!

E.g. I’m Going to Tell You a Secret - a comparatively uneventful followup to Truth or Dare that no one asked for - blocking a full home video release of The Re-invention Tour.

The Virgin Tour not getting a DVD release alongside Ciao Italia and The Girlie Show.

Some really terrible reworkings of up tempo 80s and 90s hits for post 2000 live shows…

No expanded re-releases of her back catalogue albums since the first three studio albums (that each got a measly two additional 12” remixes each) over 20 years ago, when even the albums of comparatively tiny artists have received truly expansive fan-pleasing reissues. 

And so on…

Indeed. And we never did get a DVD release of Blond Ambition, despite there being so many shows that were professional recorded - Japan, Nice, Barcelona, New Jersey etc. A full length DVD/BluRay of the Paris show, shot and edited to the same high standard as the concert footage in Truth or Dare, would have been epic. Oh well.

Some are quite good.

A lot of remixers have been lazy over the past 15 years or so and just slap ‘Dub’ on the instrumental of their remix, which is not what a Dub is at all.

Blond Ambition in Paris is one of the holy grail items for me. They claim that the whole show wasn’t filmed, only the performances that they intended to show in Truth or Dare. I find that kind of hard to believe, but who knows.
