(?) She just did a 80 date tour and her biggest audience of her carreer after a terrible health scare.

She is now editing the Tour Video and perhaps working on her Biopic. She just had appearances on fashion week. She's def not retired nor reclusive.

She also reconnected with Stuart Price during the tour. For me thatd a clear sign they are secretely workimg on something...

yes it's a retirement that doesn't say his name ! Since Madame X she's only been recycling her past...  We're not safe from a celebration tour 2 in 2 years with hits and maybe a new title or a revisited gold,  but the time for musical and artistic creation is over in my opinion :o(

Either because she has no more ideas (she prefers to do photo shoots in her house for her instagram) or because it doesn't bring her much financially to make a new album

Madonna I feel could create an incredibly good pop album authentic to her but still genuinely out there and fun too... Genuinely I feel her NDE and recent tour and biopic could definitely inspired her to create something .

We haven't had a pop artist explore the themes of an NDE and surviving that health scare later in their career ....so they would be uncharted territory ....like Bowie did in The Next Day and Black Star in his late 60s too

She may have not done a new album since Madame X (also pandemic changes timelines) But we are so lucky to have her active right now and thriving and touring...

I see people saying comparing Madonna and Kylie ....this will be Kylie's FOURTH album in 6 years and in nearly 6 years Madonna's only released ONE album ....

Yet I say between 50 and 56 Madonna did release THREE albums and Rebel Heart was a double album really so win win I dare say 

Madonna doesn't need to burn out albums every 15/18 months it's just making impact 

I adore Kylie and love her brand but just releasing dance pop isn't the way Madonna works for easy sales really ironically though

I feel like the work being done right now, not presenting new music but regaining fans, is more important. Then the soil will be fertile enough for a new album release with some better success. My biggest complaint is, even though it pains to admit it, her last couple releases don't have quite the revisiting quality I needed to pass all these years of music drought. She will probably release a new one within the next two years. It will have been too long by then

I feel ya.  Though, I do revisit Rebel Heart a lot.  My hope she'll be in the studio soon for a '25 release.  Though, i don't think we'll get anything new until the Celebration Tour Film is released and whatever audio components they decide to release for it.

For me I revisit Rebel Heart and MX a lot but I still feel it's a huge gap....like HUGE!!! like it'll be 6 years between eras 

However, I don't want an album if it's to appeal to Tik tok generation I would love the crazy art kid creating a brilliant album each time

Yeah, but the work is already done, well maybe a little more with the biopic. 

I truly loved RH love love love it and I enjoyed MX a lot, the thing with me is that i play her new albums nonstop when they came out so I rarely revisit them anymore. Maybe a full shuffle from all her discography when I’m working on something in the house so I could hear dark ballet followed by jimmy jimmy so it’s like a pleasant surprise every time 

Yeah the black widow should hurry up though

That’s what I did. I made a playlist where every song is featured in some way (some are album versions, some are single edits, a few are remixes - whichever version I like best). I arranged the tracklist so it flows from beginning to end, but I also play it on shuffle sometimes so I don’t know what’s coming. 

it has definitely helped me appreciate some stuff that I would just never seek out to listen to, particularly from those albums that I feel like are a bit of a slog to get through.

I just placed everything in a playlist and let it flow even Evita, so sometimes Requiem for evita comes up 🤣

I do have a separate playlist for the compilations and another one for every remix though, so if I only want to hear the singles or be in a more dancey mood. Some of the remixes i haven’t heard them ever.

Yeah it's quite similar to what I do ... also the 100 tracks selection  But it worked for two three years long breaks. Now I very rarely come back to her music honestly. That's why I wrote a few days ago I missed her real stuff, what I feel to be her own tone and style. I come here to chat about her and hope something old and unrelesed could surface. In the last weeks I'm starting to accept that maybe really that's it, being completely uninterested to the biopic project (it's really the last thing I needed ). At least at the moment I mean, then in two three years who knows ...

I love hearing the different ways we all listen to and engage with her catalogue. With so much to choose from and so many personal tastes, there really are infinite combinations to listen to.
