It's been said in the past (can't remember now where or by who, sorry) that she's always been the one blocking any anniversary release through the years, demanding Warner for big, big money, so they couldn't happen. Surely it's also happening now. It's up to her. Always.

Which I respect that she has that control and power over her own catalogue, but of course it's frustrating for us.

Oh interesting, never heard about it. So she wanted big budgets and not avoiding the celebratory mood about her past ...

Allegedly asking for the big budgets was a way of making sure Warner would never agree - hence it wouldn't happen. And if if did for some reason, at least she got the big money to feel it was worth it.

If I remember well someone commented they had offered her anniversary projects for "True Blue" and "Erotica" in the past. But I'm completely writing from memory here, so I could be wrong.

At the end of the day she's a business woman!

A poor one, I might say. What is she gaining from blocking all anniversary celebrations of her catalogue? Except ensuring that future generations forget about her legacy? I've already met several people (who are now in their late 20s) that had never heard Like a virgin or Like a prayer, never mind the rest. The only song that seems to be inescapable is Vogue. And this is entirely Madonna's fault. Other legacy artists don't really have this problem (I'm thinking Mariah, MJ, Cher, Britney). Surely if her goal is making as much money as possible (which is a sad goal to prioritise), she would see how much money Taylor Swift made with her re-recordings and take notes

We don't know how much it might cost to produce a deluxe package and then what and how many of it she'd sell and whether it would make enough of a profit - I don't know. Cher seems to have stopped doing deluxe re issues - Living Proof and Closer to the Truth just got a colored vinyl re issue and that was it.

Well, she can ask for all the money in the world. But she's delaying this to a point where everyone will have lost interest.

Everyone already has. Only the hardcore fans still care, and there's fewer and fewer because she hasn't been active in years. (By active I mean releasing new music, not collabs)

Tbh I think boxsets are the type of product that only hardcore stans will buy anyway. The GP will either just buy the standard vinyls or listen on streaming. So it probably doesn’t matter when she releases them.

Oh ... I feel so weird when I read these emancipated comments, knowing that at this point I could litteraly make them engrave on my gravestone "leak the Pattibone session bitches!!"

I recall someone (I think Paperfaces) talking about on a thread here that a Erotica (2022 Remaster) was once linked or appeared to him and removed suddenly

I am genuinely curious as to what this will be… I like this album a lot.  And the title track was a highlight of the Celebrations Tour for me.  Nice curveball choice.  I’ve been to every tour since Drownded.  So seeing rather obscure hits live for the first time made her greatest hits tour even sweeter.  Nothing Really Matters. Bad Girl. Take A Bow.  It was a fun that the set list contained some real gems for this longtime fan.

Illegal download, listened to it once or twice and that’s all.

I personally have zero interest in any edition that doesnt contain something unreleased.

I dont give a f* ahout holographic sh*t and coloured vinyls…

Sorry to say but I am just hoping some oldies and unreleased to remembered my younger days when I was a hardcore fan…
