The only explanation I'm starting to give myself is that if a deluxe is being thought about Bedtime Stories instead of the obvious ones Like a virgin and first album, this must be because of the credits as writer/producer she has, which will earn her more out of it compared to the first two albums....

I'm confused, are you in the side of the ones who have lost interest or in the one with all the money in the world to buy anything?

Your face says one thing but the body language says another 🤩

My face says that I am the one who lost interest (after all the teasing in the past years leading absolutely nowhere)

But my body is still ready for whatever you are up to :Madonna055:

It's gonna be a sleeve case with the Paolo Roversi photos to put the vinyl album in. I don't expect much more. Hopefully i'm wrong.

I wouldn't mind an holographic sleeve with those pics, at all. But who knows, i hope it's a vinyl with at least one "new" song (not remix) 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

It’s really all just a matter of perspective. You could argue that “Madonna’s Team” respects the fanbase by not ripping them off with endless merchandise and reissues. I can think of certain artists who have released multiple greatest hits for decades for no reason other than pure capitalist cynicism. In other cases, the fans had to wait and were spoiled rotten in ways they’d never expected: Joni Mitchell waited until just a few years ago to release extremely well researched anthology volumes with tons of unheard live performances, demos, alternate takes, and remasters after swearing she’d never allow her demos to be heard. The releases took years of restoration work, but the results are stellar (for those who appreciate her music, of course!). PJ Harvey has recently released full demo session albums corresponding to her entire discography. Then there’s questionable tactics as was the case with Lykke Li who re-released her most recent album in reverse. Would we be clamoring for such “artistic” endeavors as a fanbase? 😂

Artists like Barbra Streisand have turned to the archives in recent years in order to fulfill contractual obligations. There’s so many different approaches to legacy recordings, and I feel Madonna is still a reluctant participant because, in her mind,  the minute she starts revisiting her back catalog in this manner, she will become a legacy act instead of a contemporary recording artist. It’s still possible she has new music to release, and that her record label is happy to give her another shot at getting new music into the mainstream. Therefore, holding off on the reissues might be an investment strategy…anything new they can make into a hit enriches her back catalog. If her new music fails to have any impact, the archive releases are likely going to flow steadily in the coming years.

I feel like we’ve gotten a lot in recent years: All the singles on streaming platforms, Finally Enough Love, the vinyl releases, a global tour…It’s never going to be enough because we are fans with a voracious appetite.
