LOOK HOW LITTLE MY GLOVES ARE! 🧤 😂

What a throwback! Love Stephanie Weir. Her husband’s last name is Dass who’s also a comedian/improv actor. They have a YouTube channel with skits they do together called WeirDass. 😂  My other favorite character she does is Leona Campbell. That hospital skit on MadTV where she starts singing skat is so damn funny still.

I miss Mad TV.

I’m glad somebody got my joke

There is a very interesting update from Edward on this in his new Inside The Groove episode around 35 minutes in - something's coming over :)

Do you have like the info right now it's just that I'm on mobile data right now and I'm scared that if I play it it will load the whole 8 hour thing and waste it whole😭😭

Sorry but curious

It would be awesome if some re-issue of the Bedtime Stories album and the re-registered demo tracks they spoke about would be included.  It's just we've been jerked around with various ideas that it's getting exhausting to have anymore hope.  I guess we'll see what happens.  As always... #soon. LOL!

They simply refer to the demo tracks from the early direction of Bedtime Stories that Giulio Mazzelrni listen to at the Library of Congress and then Edward comments that some of those songs were re-registered, implying there's some possibility of a "release" if not expanded Bedtime Stories release could still happen.  It's all speculation, of course, based on the six new entries of demo songs:  "I'll Always Love You", "Good TIme", "Something Coming Over Me", "Tongue Ties", "Don't Stop", "Bring It" as well as new registrations for "I Rather Be Your Lover" and "Secret".

Giulio Mazzelrni does go into detail what those demos sounded like when he listen to many of them, saying they sounded more like tracks that could have come from the Erotica era as well as referring to one of the songs sounding like Best Night from Rebel Heart album.

Yeah and that matches with what was always said about the change of direction, she wanted to change it (and needed imo, not musically but for image purpose). The Best Night sounding track (oh I hate you for making me dream about those tracks again just writing about them ) should be I will always have you, the early Inside of me version, very sensual and - that's what really kills me - apparently with some BLUESY influences.

Said that, FOR ALL THE 80S LOVERS, in this podcast Giulio talks also about his researches for the TB and LAP demos, wich he didn't do in the YT Madonna Podcast :cute:

AND I discovered M explicitly chose to record some tracks homaging Karen Carpenter, apparently for TUTBMP she said "Let's do this in the Carpenters way" and it really feels like it.

Yes, it was so cool to hear him describe the sounds of those songs as well as mention how much involvement Shep had with them.

And yet there is some incoherences about some other details we had before and that is very interesting. Let me be clear, I trust the author completely, at all. At the same time Bray said a few years ago in an interview that the early demo of EY was very different than the final release also in parts of the melody and structure. Here Bray says that the vocals on the released version are the same M recorded in her own house, in the bedroom precisely, when they wrote the song. Maybe that early interview was made up but I'm just putting this thing out there: we have one demo less to be osessed by.

It's possible Bray just remembered wrong or confused it with another song.  The thing is, what we know and what they (all of Madonna's producers) remember and experienced themselves could be quite the contrast.  They have a lot more to remember to their career as Madonna does as well.  What things they may remember most, may never been what us fans actually experience. I always have to go back thinking about how Madonna remembers her first MTV AWARDS appearance. There are some discrepancies in what she recalls and what we see.  Though, there was a rehearsal that stuck in her head more than the actual live performances.  I suspect a lot of behind the scenes stick in her head more than some of the actual performances.  So many events and landmark moments in her career, I'm sure it's hard to remember it all, even though we have so many of her performances and moments, right in front of us to watch on a daily basis.

My immediate thought was - is the the 2Pac version of I'd Rather Be Your Lover as the newly registered version - she did say on Instagram back in 2018 'One day i will release the song i did with 2Pac'

Would she have to get permission from his estate? IMO I prefer the MN version.

And I believe we already knew about these registrations actually

What was updated actually ?

Some of them had ISRCs (an unique number for each song, similar to the ISBN for books) that suggested were later to the recent registrations in the last few years, like "Material Gorwl" (I refuse to write the original title for that, can't even remember!) or the "Frozen" remixes.
