in my fave lists there are also: MJ (duuuh), Prince (i mean...), George Michael, Bowie, Duran Duran, Massive Attack, Tricky..

I love Massive Attack and Tricky too, and have been listening to them a lot lately!

I absolutely love that Madonna and Massive Attack have a song together (and one of the most beautiful music videos of hers).

She's unparalleled. Though her ART has suffered for the rest part of 20 yrs now in terms of music. I am loathed to be one of those she ended with Confessions gays because there is much to love post COAD, but there is also plenty to loathe which I really didn't find 82-05 Her career really is a tale of two halves which are completely incomparable.

The first twenty years and the second..and not one of you would swap the latter for the former. I think the last 20 have been really hard for her to navigate commercially and personally but I do think there is hope that the next 20 will be really really interesting and she serves the ultimate shit sandwich.

I have always thought the latter part of her career will prove to be the most interesting. With half her nest flown, her step mother, two brothers, her contemporaries gone and her fathers ill health and inevitable passing on the horizon as well as her own life threatening scare last year I think she has plenty to write about. All of the Ciccone brood seem to have left home at 17. Which Madonna has five years til she is an empty nester.

Something about her seems to have come around since The Celebration Tour and jolted her back to a present state of mind. More than anything I hope she is happy and healthy...even if that means I never get another single note from her.

She was for almost 20 years, but some recent behaviors have given me pause, particularly in politics. I find it difficult to separate art from political views, which has led me to connect more with other artists. It’s been tough, though, because Madonna has a unique vision in her music that I just can’t find in anyone else.

I admire Damon Albarn a lot, followed by Sade and Björk.

I dare say I prefer Madame X, Rebel Heart, to Like a Virgin, Debut

She will always be. I'm 34 and I've been a fan for half of my life, since I was a teenager. She's the only artist I never get tired of listening, even tho I know she was not always the top. But she was to me. I truly admire her and what she did for the industry and the world <3

I enjoy other artists, like Lady GaGa or Kylie Minogue (even if I haven't really followed her for the last couple of years). But Madonna is the only one for me. I can't wait to know what she has in store for all of us
