Well 3 working weeks with Stuart sounds like they're hard at work for maybe another Confessions album. I wish Orbit was part of it for his soundscapes and watery feel

Where are those „3 working weeks“ coming from? Am i missing something?

Id really love for her to release an album with more of that dembow/reggaeton vibe she had in Hung Up On Toksicha.
I think it was refreshing to hear that production on Madame X, but maybe she could evolve it to something a bit more ambient sounding, I have noticed shes been hanging around Arca a bit the last couple of years, maybe they've worked on stuff together?
I can imagine Madonna being a fan of Arca's music.
I just hope she looks after her voice a bit more. I love the auto-tune sound she was playing with on Madame X, but it gets monotonous very quickly. I was surprised to hear a more stripped back vocal on the song she did with the Weeknd.
I do think shes been working on a lot of new music over the past few years, I just think shes experimenting with what direction she wants to go musically. I expect the unexpected.
Id say next year would be the year we will get a new studio album, it just feels right.

I have no idea. In recent years it seems she's been in and out of the studio, even before the celebration tour, way before, even after, even during, but in a recent post she also confirmed she's been working on a film as well. Is she doing both? who knows..

Her vocals were perfect on Ray Of Light due to her intense training for Evita. It was her prime - vocally.

I don’t know if it will ever happen again, but cutting out the autotune in some songs would suffice! Madame X was too much.

She will definitely never sound like her ROL era, that's fine. Time passes.
I hope to think the auto-tune on Madame X was mostly stylistic/conceptual.
I was quite shocked to hear her serve decent vocals for Celebration.
I'd like to hear more of that, I think Crave was the only song on X without intense auto-tune??

The bridge on crave is soooo beautiful, the vulnerability in her voice, that and the pre-chorus bit in Killers are my top moments on MX, I don't mind the autotune but more of her raw singing would have been a nice contrast and add emotional layers. What I dislike is the exessive tuning on tracks like Looking for mercy, where it's just used to get a tuned vocal, that takes the life out of it for me

Honestly the ROL vocals are part of the reason I rarely revisit that album, they are a bit too technical in some songs, I love it more when she sings in her natural voice, I would die if she'd sing the way she sang between the bars for instance

It really does feel like she's sorta done. She said she had no desire to make MDNA and Rebel Heart. Madame X felt like a return to a passion project but realistically it performed very poorly. Just look at the sales decline it's shocking. And we've really not been landed with any hits from it at all even though I liked a bunch of the songs. I think maybe she's actually been done mentally for a good while but has just been chugging away doing quick writing camps and recording sessions to see if anything clicks.

Madonna is an artist but id say she's become even more of a business woman in recent years. With the health scare she's had in recent years, her poor sales returns for a decade and an ever changing musical landscape where artists are selling their catalogues and some seemingly stepping away hugely once they do drop a record (Rihanna, Adele, Beyonce, Gaga) even Dua Lipa and Miley have been largely absent in recent album campaigns, it seems the music industry just doesn't hold as much allure as it did. Other business ventures  such as make up, endorsements, liquor, Pharma and clothing for the younger artists bringing in the bucks.

It seems the  scare to her life has pushed Madonna even further towards curating and telling the story of her legacy and having all those aspects in place before she sadly departs us....and maybe she feels her health scare was a warning and the clock is ticking on getting her legacy in order. I think once she's done all that she might want to toss us some new stuff....but I generally think we're done guys.

Madame X was a full circle moment in many ways. The last track on the album being Caio Bella seems kind of fitting.

I don't think... The Celebration Tour was treated like a standalone era, and she always returns on tour / record cycle after 3 years. She will have a new record for 2027 or even earlier. Older artists are still recording, Cher is having better positions on Billboard now than when she was younger. Madame X was a good step on experimenting, not caring about commercial sounds anymore, despite having Maluma or Swae Lee to push the singles a little more.
It's Madonna, not Geri Halliwell. She will come back.

I don't recall her ever saying that, regarding those two albums.  She did claim she had no intentions in making Madame X when moving to Portugal, but then she was greatly influenced by all the sounds she was experiencing there.  None of that points to her being "done! making music.

I also don't get any feeling she's ready to quit making music. Just a couple of years ago, she even stated she was still interested in making music, but being the musical industry has changed greatly, she had to rethink how to get her music out there.  Specifically, saying, "re-invent the wheel" regarding how she will distribute her future music.

We know she's been in the studio several times since MX was released.  Also, we know she recently went into the studio with Stuart Price.  While it may have been for working on the audio portion of the Celebration Tour film release (if it ever happens), there is also a great chance, she's already begun working on a new album.

Also how many times she said that she will never tour again (it was during Blond Ambition era or Girlie Show I think), or she said that she will never sing Material girl or Like a virgin anymore during Ray of light era an so on...

We can't predict the future...

But she did work with Martin and Stuart and with Sickick, remember?

My guess is that the result wasn't good enough.

She's taking her time, and that's fine.

Maybe she will do something with the Weekend...who knows?

But until she doesn't work with Patrick Leonard again, she won't have a TIMELESS song,

that could be a hit or not, nowadays, this doesn't really depend on the quality of the song,

but at least it would be good, and that's a fucking fact.

I can't see it happening for another year or two if that - she's focused on the biopic - well, was, she might shelve it. But, to make an album, promote an album, film the music videos - it's a lot of work that she won't have time for if she's doing the biopic.

We should keep in mind, throughout her career she's made films and made music at the same time.  I realize that the Biopic is something she is doing from scratch and far more involved, but we just saw her in the studio with Stuart, all the while that we knew the Biopic is still on. So clearly she's still making time in making music.

My bet, we'll see new music before the Biopic. She's obviously struggling getting someone to help finance and distribute it. And this is now after she did have backing from a film company, but couldn't get her script approved. She has a script, but it's just a matter of either getting it green llit for someone to help finance and distribute it or condensing the script.  This isn't all uncommon in the film industry.  Plenty of well known films took years and years before being green lit to go and even then, would hit a snag and put on the back burner.

I personally think Madonna is very much seeing this Biopic happening under her watch, rather being made with no involvement from her.  It seems under the scenario, "Over my dead body" will someone make a biopic about me without my input.   I can understand it, because she wants her side being told.  I personally like to see that happen.  Besides, it won't stop anyone in the future making another film without her input at some time. But I'm guessing it's going to be hard as long as Madonna is coherent or live to stop it from happening.

I think she is still interested in making new music as she has been in and out of the studio quite a bit in the past few years. She’s just not in a hurry because she’s not locked into kind of contractual obligation anymore. She will definitely do a new album before another tour though. Hopefully this next album will be good and worth the wait.
