I think the biopic should be a book!

M hasn't really revealed much about her life. The fanbase may think they know her but really have no idea. And she prefers this mystery..it cancels out the misery.. For a memoir she would have to demystify herself and she won't do that. Film is different in this respect imo.

She stepped on many people’s toes at the beggining of her career… she wanted to be famous at all cost, and she got very famous. People would call her a narcisist (as they already do), manipulative, etc.

It’s hard to dodge from those adjectives when telling a story through a 2-hour movie. A book? Less risky for her.

But she's here to defend herself while he is not so she should shut up. Always doing interviews to talk about old shit never anything new. I'm not going to feel sorry for Cher who's trying to be causing a commotion to sell a book

I feel it's going to be something that isn't going to please everyone.

She needs to make a decision to make something for the General Public (so max film length 90mins - like Elton John's) - or create something niche over a number of episodes on a streaming platform - that may or may not get picked up, depending on how many 'parts' she wants (as they will be looking for $$ return also).  At the end of the day, it does not matter who she is, it's about how much return they will get - and I can't see the General Public being interested in a 10 part series on Madonna's life and the machinations of each of her era's. 

She might have to fund it and release it herself - which I thought in part the Celebration Tour revenue was going toward.

it's not unusual for moves to be in development for years, even decades. If they opt to do the TV series, it will be done much faster, probably.

I don't mind a book, but that's so cliche' especially at this point in her career. I can understand how she's interested in creating something visually being her whole career has centered on being conceptually visual. 

I'll end with..... I want it all!  Biopic, book album... another tour.  The woman isn't done.  And you can bet in due time, there's going to be a plethora amount of stuff coming from her, that is going to make explode with excitement!

Evita was in development hell for 20 years but yeah, let's all blame M and her team for a NORMAL and COMPLICATED process because we don't have a clue about movie production.

I get it it's a long process but M and her team started creating buzz around the biopic way too early and have kept it going for way too long with no concrete results. In my opinion that's a mistake. I'm sure it will be great when finished but it's been dragging on for years now.
