I think the biopic should be a book!

I suspect she doesn’t want to do a book because so many of her peers have. Mariah, Britney, now Cher. She seems to think she always has to do things differently (which can work against her sometimes).

I think she wants to reach as many people as she can with her own story... and the book ain't it... so a TV series is the way to go

I couldn't care less about her biopic, especially because she's so personally involved on it.

On the other hand, nodoby has her charisma and moves. I can't see any actress performing like her in BA Express Yourself or S&S Vogue, for example.

I wish a new SOLO album, no feats and NO Mirwais anymore.

If she wants to get attention and everyone talking about her, a book is a wrong move, don't get me wrong. Only her fans will take their time to read it. I believe a movie would be more suitable to the masses, but as a fan, a miniseries, with 8 to 11 episodes, would be the best choice.

This!  And she would profit more from a film/series. She knows this and that is just another reason she's shopping her Biopic around.  She could make a few cool million from it, while the book will pretty much appeal to hard core fans and not generate as much revenue.  At the same time, I can see a book can reveal much more. I'm not opposed to having both, but we know Madonna is a visual artist and she doesn't want to tell her story in a conventional way.  I'm a little shocked some fans are surprised by this.

The thing is, a book will fit way more detail and personal thoughts/feelings into it. It’s just two very different mediums, we can have both. A book first, then a film.

Also britney made millions selling her book rights for film...

Madonna is not ready to do a book and probably think its a closing chapter while the biopic would literally be a chapter on her furure book

a book?? Who reads a book these days? no, I don't agree. I think that the ideal is a film and that it be directed by an experienced director and not an "amateur." For example, I would like Quentin Tarantino to be the director and I would like the actress to play Madonna to be Mikey Cyrus. I love that girl, her attitude is so similar to Madonna's and she is also a good actress. And she is beautiful by the way.

I can't believe more people don't see Miley as Madonna... If anyone has Madonna's attitude, it's her!

I would be really interested in a book, oh THAT would make me excited as fuck. It would also be a complete new experience with  her. Reading someone's story creates such an intimate connection that movies simply aren't meant to get in that way. Of course it's far too late even just to think about it, the work she has now can't be converted in a book, not if you intend to make a good, personal one.

No a TV mini series would be better. I hate reading lol

Well I'm so sad for you and all pleasure you don't know.

Always been convinced a book would be best possibility for her to tell Her truth.

I got a problem seeing a girl playing M part. I love M, not someone playing M. With a book, there will only be M.

This is exactly why a film will never work.

Nobody has what Madonna had.

Miley isn’t a serious actress. They need someone that can portray the emotional and darker side of Madonna behind the scenes. Her mother dies, friends die of aids, she is a rape victim, is homeless, she gets into an intense relationship with Sean, probably has many meltdowns… Miley couldn’t carry this role. I also don’t believe she has any big desire to do acting otherwise she’d still be doing it.

I suspect a lot of hardcore fans won’t enjoy the movie. They won’t be able to let go of reality and accept if things are out of chronological order, the wrong colour, her nose is the wrong shape, hairstyles are wrong and so on . It happened with Queen and Elvis fans. This is also possibly an obstacle with Madonna herself directing as she will want every detail right and yet she doesn’t remember things in the same way the public does anyway.

Do fans really want this biopic or is it only her? I mean, we've heard her story so so so many times, even told by her... we even got a full fu**ing tour celebrating her career.

I think the biopic should be cancelled and she should release new music and albums.

She’s wanted to be a film director for decades. So I think this is what this is mainly about. And she’s come too far now to scrap it.

Well, as I mentioned the Cher book I'll just say this. We've heard Cher's story a zillion times (her fans) and I thought I knew everything. But there's stories of her abuse, the time Phil Spector held a gun to her head after illegally releasing one of her singles, stories about hanging out with so many celebs, her affair with warren Beatty. Her recording process, the time she went to a party where everyone overdosed and some died of it while she was sent to court to testify. (This was only a rumour and she admitted to it when she could've pretended she didn't)

behind the scenes info and more...

I found the stories about her friendships and experiences with other friends funny and so enchanting. I feel like I'm there in 1960s/70s Hollywood and it's bliss.

Although one thing is that she's so honest in the book. She included things in the book that make you think 'what the fuck is wrong with you' and I admire that. I don't know is Madge would ever be so honest and vulnerable.

What year does part 1 go up to? I need to read this book.

The memoir covers Cher's life from her childhood to her marriage to Sonny Bono, and ends as she's about to start acting around 1980.  The books sorta ends with a cliff hanger where she speaks to director Francis Ford Coppola asking her why she isn't making movies. He advises her to try.
