  • Again with the goddamn vinyl. Did I take a bus and end up back in 1984? Good God. Not everyone is coming to the future indeed. Esti.

  • Bonus tracks Fart Poem My Sweet Mellie Mel Madonna Can't Afford Real Pearls Causing A Commotion (2030 Nikki Harris Version)

  • It sounds interesting to have the Paris show on vinyl. But I guess it's only going to be the tracks included in the film... cut short

Like a Prayer and Hanky Panky were originally used as bonus performances for some laserdisc or VHS releases weren't they?

Yes.

My old VHS had them.

It’ll most probably x1 vinyl with the songs already in the original soundtrack of the movie and possible LAP and Hanky Panky as bonus tracks it will not be a full Paris show, come guys and gals it’s Madonna you’re setting yourself up for disappointment if you think it’s anything special

Wait... Where does it say that the vinyl comes from the audio of the Blond Ambition Tour? Maybe it's just a vinyl with the album versions of the songs featured in the film, like any other OST vinyl.

I mean, a vinyl with the album versions (or single versions) of these songs:

  1. Express Yourself (Remix Edit)
  2. Oh Father
  3. Like a Virgin
  4. Promise to Try
  5. Holiday
  6. Live to Tell
  7. Vogue
  8. Causing a Commotion
  9. Papa Don't Preach
  10. Hanky Panky
  11. Like a Prayer (Dance Remix)
  12. Keep It Together (Single Remix)

There's 6 whole months of tension to create and then this vague product will vanish the week before release with no explanation!

At best, it could end up being the dreadful The Party's Right Here radio recording from Texas that came out on CD last year...

I also believe the entire show was filmed. It wouldn't make sense to set up all the cameras and everything and then just stop filming. The other performances were probably not edited, and the original footage may be misplaced or damaged, I'll give him that.

Exactly. Plus it was confirmed that Where's The Party was filmed which I doubt she even considered putting in the film.

I also think I remember reading back during the RIT when they filmed the Paris show that one night they filmed the first half in its entirety and the second half the next night "just like they did for Truth or Dare."

Alek a lie!

He expects us to believe they filmed "Express Yourself", "Like A Virgin", "Like a Prayer", "Oh Father", "Hanky Panky", "Vogue", "Holiday" and "Keep It Together" but turn the cameras off for every song in between? The fact that footage of "Causing a Commotion" pops up for a few seconds in the move is proof enough that they filmed more.

its local limited release

but again ppl expect unreal things :dead:

Sometimes these local limited releases can be surprising. Wasn't Prince's Sign "O" The Times concert film first available on Blu Ray only in Germany. Wait, isn't that the case still?

Correct me if I’m wrong but Madonna doesn’t own the rights to TOD anyway does she? So this release probably has nothing to do with her

I don't think she fully owns it solely herself. I'm sure Miramax, or whomever bought Miramax, co-owns it with her.

But remember when she did those social media posts from her archive? She had reels from Truth or Dare in her possession. Weren't they audio mixes? Or were they unfinished cuts of the film with unfinished audio? I remember the descriptions on the boxes referenced something to do with audio.

This is just a re-issue of sorts through a French pop label. Madonna and her team have nothing to do with this release.  Expecting anything than what it says, would be foolish.  I'm sure the vinyl is just a rip of a previous live LP from the past.

ok, where could these films be? If they are not digitized in the coming years, they will be lost forever.

I was there, they filmed everything. It was also confirmed to me by a man who was working at the project and told me that they were filming the whole show to be shown at cinemas.

Yes she has the original footage. But I believe she doesn’t own the final master or rights to distribute it.

Mark my words , it will be nothing more than what we already have. It won’t include Hanky Panky and Like a Prayer either. Let’s not start another fantasy wish list that will lead to disappointment.
