I think this actually would be a great way to gain exposure to new audiences beyond her hardcore fans. I just don't think it would be a very big audience. So if it doesn't cost must to put them on Netflix, it may be worth it.

Then again, I doubt her vocal performances from the 80's and the 90's would make great first impressions on potential new fans...

It would be a great way "to gain exposure", but I just don't believe her older tours would be much interest to anyone but her hard core fan base.  And as I mentioned, we all know they can be seen for FREE on Youtube.

The only way the release her past tours Is to associate them to albums reissues... just like they have been doing with Prince.

Ex: Like a virgin reissue + Virgin Tour bluray

True blue /Who's that girl reissue + Who's that girl tour bluray

Like a prayer/I'm breathless reissue + Blond ambition tour bluray

Erotica reissue + Girlie show tour bluray

and so on...

I disagree.

Unlike Prince her tours are strong enough to have their own video+audio releases. They can dig deeper and give us a lot of nice things we have been wanting for so long. The reissues should focus on outtakes, demos and mixes (I personally would like to have the actual singles separetely or maybe on a box, but I know they won't do that...)

I don’t think it has anything to do with the strength of the shows but how big the hardcore fanbase is and how to make the most money. There is a very limited market for dvd/bluray releases at all let alone for old concerts. We did not even get Madame X.

I think it was madonnatv.com that confirmed Nocturn who shot the screen footage in the arenas/stadiums has every show from WTG onward archived. So the Paris shows likely exist in full.

Madonna TV is just a fan who posts footage recorded from tv, that info didn’t come from them.

It came from an interview with somebody in the industry, forget who. So perhaps it exists but that footage you posted is media footage. I dont imagine they’d release footage from the screens when they have numerous properly filmed shows already edited.

I’m happy with what we have. I would love the Paris show if they have it as it’s beautifully shot.

What I really want is Drowned World Tour from a European city. Or Sticky & Sweet 2.

Can you imagine the full Paris show in 4k, the way they shot what we got in Truth or Dare?

Would be incredible.

David Fincher did also film in Japan. So that could be interesting to see.

This I am less sure of. The story was that David Fincher left the project and Alek came on. Alek has stated he was there during rehearsals of the tour and he is there in the airport when M lands in Japan.

Possibly David was still around and left as Madonna decided to have Alek do the documentary and David the concert filming and maybe he didn't like that and left. Not sure but there is doubt around the Japan filming.

I don’t see a back catalogue of concerts from legacy artists on there. I don’t think they’re interested. They do need to find a place for this kind of content though. Maybe Spotify will move into this market?

You can always try Stingray concerts. It's a subscription service. There are hundreds of concerts on there. Not everything is in HD, though.

No it was Jamesy who talked to someone from Nocturn, I remember it specifically. It's why it has never been considered 100% confirmed.

Do you remember the source for that info? I swear it was an interview with someone who did lighting or something? Sadly I don't remember where I read it.

Toby Phillips talked on the Paris show but I can't remember if it was him who also talked abut Japan or it was someone else. It was from the blog The Beats Within. Whoever ran that blog interviewed two people, Toby and  someone else, a woman whose name I don't remember.

One of them mentioned Japan and the other said they didn't think that had happened. Honestly going off memory as I read the interview only a couple of times and can't find the blog anymore.

So not a reliable source then

I wouldn't consider it 100% confirmed, but more a possibility. I have heard separately that Michael Jackson used the same company and also archived all his performances and Madonna had a habit of using many of the same people as him and we know she has many things archived and in storage.

Plus back in 1990 it was reported Pioneer were originally going to get a compilation of shows from various countries for their Blond Ambition tour release and it would be an around the world compilation rather than one show.

But again I would never consider it confirmed.
