How about this performance of  "Into The Hollywood Groove"  from the Reinvention Tour? What are your first thoughts and memories watching this and seeing it on tour?  I remember having complete and utter  GOOSEBUMPS when the Bagpipe started to roll. To this day, I am stunned and in awe by this performance!!! I just read  The Piper is Lorne Cousin ....a professional and accomplished Piper. His bagpipe was fitted with microphones for this performance. The drummers were actually Madonna's dancers from the show. They were taught to play side and tenor (including flourishing) in a very short space of time by Steven Kilbride. The kilts are long because that's the way Madonna wanted them. If you know more, let us know. If this isn't magnificence, I don't know what is??  :jamming::jamming::jamming::fire:

I thought the bridge of the song was great!

I wasn’t a total fan of the bagpipes but it was very on brand for her back then. I wish she had done more for the CT version

I'm not the biggest fan of the Who's That Girl Tour, but there's no denying the power of the "Now I know you're miiiiine" in that show. Must have been the musical director who knew the power of it cuz she hasn't really ever done it like that since.

She went AWF during that performance. Definitely one of her best :Madonna055:

apparently i'm the one out of the groove here but i actually love the Hollywood Groove chorus, and also this is one of her most legendary numbers. I loved she brought the chorus back for Celebration

When I think about it, I think she should have done the first two choruses as the original and the last as the Hollywood groove. That would have been amazing.

I like the Into the Hollywood Groove chorus too. The lyrics are better and flow better than the original. There, I said it.

"let me show you some moves, best to take it from me" show that she is currently the queen of dancing, and she's showing is that she still got it. those were better fitting to the Celebration concept as that part was her dancing days and that's all that was in her mind back then, instead of wanting someone to prove her love.
