The Girlie Show: Blu-Ray?

I thought I remembered hearing that The Girlie Show was going to get a Blu-Ray release, does anybody remember that? Or know if that is still a possibility?

Yes, but it was cancelled. It was the biggest bs I've ever heard since its the ONLY one of her tours that can't get a high definition release since it was only shot on video. Pretty funny prank they pulled...

Fighter, how can you notice that it was filmed on video? I mean, is there a way, or even better, a source to prove that? I'm interested in this kind of things but I've got my doubts

Drowned World Tour was filmed on video but they added filters & shit for the DVD release and it looked great in comparison.  I'm sure they could remaster the Girlie Show like this....or just clean up the original video taped footage they filmed & slap it on a blu ray.

right i wasn't sure if DWT had also been shot on video, but both these shows are the worst looking releases she's had...

 

I honestly don't see much point in releasing them on bluray. filters or no filters..

Is sad....would've been nice if we had this great technology in the 80's.....Virgin Tour blu-ray, I'd wet my pants, lol
