Prince's estate just reminded everyone (once again) how a super deluxe edition of an album should be done. Amazing.

David Bowie didn’t really have hits till Let’s Dance in in the 80s. This probably means everything he did in the 70s was shit, right? 😂

What’s the point of the thread if you just go on and on with your point of view and you don’t even try to understand what we are saying? Ok Mirwais is shit, move on.

My Ray of Light box set was originally made around Christmas last year. I've been wanting to upgrade this project from 2D Photoshop mockups to 3D, at least since I started working on Confessions and the Immaculate Collection. This new version has been a joy to make and I'm so excited to see what you think of it.

There's a lot to check out - new editions of the vinyl, much more behind the scenes content, and a very shiny ring.
Thank you to the (wow) hundreds of you who have given feedback on my box sets. It's been incredible seeing the responses to things I've made for fun and for practice as a designer.
    Enjoy!

Absolutely gorgeous! And to think she continues to be stuck up Aldo Diaz's ass when actual professionals do such a stunning job in concepts like this.

This image as it is with the Rebel Heart font would make a better cover...energetic, iconic, classy and taken from the actual tour (not The Brits!?). Someone send to Guy asap! ;)

Pages ago, someone (I can't recall who did it) asked for a vinyl edition of the RHT and I thought that it would be a great idea.
The version that @@valonqar made is amazing, because I really love red vinyl (even better if it's translucid), but I came across this idea yesterday night and here it is: a puzzle picture disc, kind of a rare limited edition in my mind.

UK resident here. Received mine in the mail today from the Newsstand website...it's beautiful- good sturdy quality cover and gorgeous reproductions of orgininal RS interviews...plus best song/video articles...very happy.
Also, if you live in London then I have spotted the magazine in a few central and Soho newsagents...grab it while you can.

    Oh yes please, thank u.

I think some of the admins/moderators in this forum should sometimes be a little more unbiased when it comes to expressing their opinions about M's works. I'm not saying they can't say what they think, but an admin should most of the time stay like that, as an admin, not as a "normal" user, with all that includes. I hope u understand what i'm trying to say.

When the forum started, it was an amazing place to be. Lately i feel, and this is just my opinion so respect it, please, lots of naysayers are around here and i don't feel this place as the amazing place it used to be. As a fan, when i get in a forum of FANS, i expect to find a nice place with nice things to say, and yes, people expressing their opinions politely, and not just naysayers and people complaining of HOW BAD EVERYTHING IS, how amateurish, we don't have a physical single, and when we have it the artwork is shitty... God. I really understand even M is telling some of u guys to shut up and STOP COMPLAINING. For God's sake.

When all the demos first leaked and the idea of a double album was first suggested, I was all excited and 100% behind the idea of an album of two halves...CD1- Rebel (edgy, sexual, confrontational), CD2- Heart (heartfelt, confessional, traditional). But having lived with the official album for a few weeks and sitting through a mixed bag of emotions, I think they were correct to keep the album as a rollercoaster of emotions, themes and show the conflicting sides of Madonna...she is, after all, a complex mix of ping-ponging between emotions and her many sides exposed/hidden within a single heartbeat- vulnerability, strength, sadness, joy, provocative, solitary etc. Also, I think many of us would listen more to one CD more than the other...I would, if I'm honest, have played "Heart" more than "Rebel" and so Rebel would become tired very quickly...all one theme, but this way (and I always play an album in its intended sequence and never shuffle/skip) I have been exposed and begin to enjoy tracks like Unapologetic Bitch, Iconic, Holy Water, S.E.X. and Illuminati because they are surrounded by my favourite Heart tracks...which makes me begin to listen and grow to love those more Rebel tracks. So, for me, the erratic tracklisting works and makes me enjoy EVERY track instead of favoring a certain side.

I completely agree...the critics (and some fans) would compare the two sides against each other...like a "Something To Remember" battle with "Confessions On A Dancefloor" ;) I like that its a complex mixed vibe, like the lady herself. Plus the term 'Rebel' is a difficult one to pinpoint...I consider Wash All Over Me as a determined, rebellious story...also Ghosttown could fit the bill as rebelling/fighting against all that life throws at you and still believing and moving onwards and upwards, so we probably would have had a fast side and a slow side...which doesn't necessarily suggest either Rebel or Heart. I like that within each song there is a mix of both and each story can be labelled as either/or....again, a perfect way to describe Madonna and her back catalogue. It's also fascinating to go on that little journey from the full of hurt HeartBreakCity to the joyous, playful Body Shop and followed by the confidently sexual Holy Water...even the filthy tongue-firmly-wedged-into-cheek S.E.X. going into the beautifully Gothic heart of Messiah perfectly portray the many characteristics and complexities of a female artist.
