The difference is that most of us are TALENTED. time and time again we've seen fans many on this board really  "remaster" or edit remixes better, we've seen so many fans airbrush and upscale photos, we've seen fans recreate single covers, we've especially seen fans create brilliant mockups and designs for our dream box sets or singles etc. That's the difference. The biggest complaint the past decade fans have had is quality control. Of course most of us would jump at the chance but not because we want clout or to be in her circle but because we LOVE and appreciate her work. You can't have it both ways complaining about her output then flippantly say it's because we're jealous.

Well he's one of the people responsible for the decline or her image and weird social media so I think hes a gaga fan infiltrated on her camp.
Also this interview makes he sounda like a Asshole?
" I've worked with people that I didn't like to work with, I have worked with very sweet and warm people, and I've worked with very rude people where I haven't even shared one photo online because I hated them so much"

Interesting. He seems so full of himself but maybe it's just the way he comes across?
I think this is they key why she likes him so much:
I wonder if it's because you've humanized Madonna, one of the most famous and most powerful people in entertainment.
Before working with her I always respected her and her as an artist, but it wasn't the type of music I would listen to. One time she asked me, “Did you come out to my music?” And I was like, “No,” because it's the truth. I love her, but I was just listening to other things.
We know from the past she likes people not seeing her like a creamy smooth pop icon goddess. This guy seems like he couldn't care less about her pop status.
At the same time, he's a little bit clueless in general right? This part about the "Celebration Tour":
Visually, it's a such a minimal show, but still feels huge. It doesn't have many props, it doesn't have 100 chairs, it doesn't have stairs. It's really just a video and a stage. And for such a big pop artist to do that, everything else has to be solid. And I'm actually so happy that she allowed herself to do that. It's way, way stronger, because it's all about her and the dancers. And if that is not good enough, then the show wouldn't be good.
Minimal? Doesn't have many props? Doesn't have stairs? It's just a video and a stage?
PLEASE. It's a technical nightmare. The million stage changes, the million dancers on stage, the million screens, the CUBE, the flying portrait... this guy was there every night? That comment was more like he was talking about Rosalía's "Motomami Tour".
    He's just... there...

Imagine how many *US #1’s and top 10’s she’d have if streaming existed in the 80’s and 90’s. Probably 30 #1’s and hundreds of top 10’s.

So glad this didn’t happen and we got the iconic Superbowl in 2012 instead.

Give Me All Your Luvin' was the right choice for the Superbowl launch. Honestly the whole thing helped MDNA be as successful as it was. And what a feat at 30 years into her career to have a #1 album and a top #10 single. Girl Gone Wild is iconic regardless and helped keep the album around for the tour. Even if a lot of the GP started not being into her.

Glad she waited until 2012. Music needed to be there. Hung Up should've been performed instead of Party Rock whatever but I'm mostly over it haha.

The main downfall for me is she only gave time for 4 songs to shine, and one of them being GMAYL. I would've loved her to turn that performance into a 12 minute career retrospective, filling each minute with intricate fleeting references of her journey to that point.
This fanmade mix is a good example of how much more she could've packed in 12 minutes, without neglecting Vogue, Music and LAP.

Plus I think her personal life issues: her divorce, Rocco moving in with his dad, Brahim cheating on her with her trainer, etc.
Then she gained lots of weight around the time of that dreadful Maluma performance and after.
So I agree, I think the Celebration Tour and her health scare (whatever really occurred) set her back on the right path in life to where she used to be mentally and health wise

Of course! The reason I'm saying it is I believe you will get more accurate results when using more direct terminology.

I said Janet didn't consciously take notes from Madonna.
Janet definitely carved her own lane and has her own legacy separate from the blueprint Madonna created, but to say she would've done the same (reinvention, genre hopping, pro-gay themes, sexual liberation, provocative/powerful imagery) in a universe where Madonna hadn't just been the first to popularize each thing with huge commercial success mere months-years prior... is just not realistic.
You can't put it down to coincidence when Madonna was thee global standard for all women in pop music at the time. The concept of "female pop icon" was cooked with Madonna's DNA... and reheated by every pop girl to break through after 1985.
I did mention New Jack Swing as an instance of Janet influencing Madonna. and naturally the TLC influences on Bedtime Stories stem from Janet too. My point was that they influenced each other more than some fans would like to think. As a stan of both I'd say their careers are actually very similar, and there are no artists who match either of them better than each other.

Before Madonna the blueprint for women in pop was Tina Turner, Donna Summer, Diana Ross, Cher, Olivia Newton John... none of whom created anything remotely comparable to Justify My Love, Erotica and the Sex book, or even really Like a Virgin. Madonna didn't invent sexual liberation but she sure as hell revolutionised it and popularised it... and then Janet just coincidentally had the same idea as Madonna, a matter of months-years later, just as Madonna's sexual liberation art started changing pop culture? Come on guys!!!

I only say because I think the questions "is Madonna a gay icon?" vs "is Madonna a LGBTQ+ icon?" are wildly different answers. Madonna's audience is mostly gay men, her art and politics have been consciously centered around gay men, she is an icon to gay men specifically, her legacy is intertwined with gay rights.
The change of terminology conflates her affinity to gay men with other demographics that don't necessarily care for her at all. I know most lesbians don't care. And yes she is a bisexual icon too. But there is currently no word that describes homo/bi without hetero attached.
The term "queer" is now understood to also include heterosexual people, so that represents gay men even less. It's pretty important if we're talking about gay men to actually just say gay men.

So you mean that where applies, there should be a bracket specifically for Gay men and another for the rest of the GBTQ+ community?

Just mean that most people still use the word Gay to identify someone who is exclusively attracted and sexually active to someone of the same sex, rather than the word Queer which has lots of historical connotations of being odd or othered. I know the community has tried to reclaim it much like the N word but as with that slur some people still don’t wish for it to be used to refer to them even within the community.

Gay is historically / still the umbrella term no ? A lot of the community have an issue with the word queer.

Why is there no option for "gay" without a load of other groups attached? She is a gay icon, and absolutely not a lesbian icon.
