That doesn’t really matter. It’s still important to be able to say it was Number 1 on iTunes in xxx countries.

I really don't understand the fuss about the artwork.
Is it ugly? Yes, of course. Does it matter in 2022? No.
This is not intended for print, it won't be released commercially on CD or vinyl. Singles artwork don't matter anymore cause they will be just a few pixel on your Spotify, and you won't even see it because you'll play your music in the background while you have other apps running. Why would they waste so much money for a cheap, rushed released like this? This is just meant to get some sweet streaming numbers while the song is trending. The 16-year-olds that will stream this don't give a fuck about the artwork.
She delivered for every single of the Madame X era and every single album cover (well, maybe not Hard Candy). So bitch about it if the next album cover looks like this, not a random, meaning-less single that will be forgotten by March.

I think the problem for many of us is that Madonna has access to the best designers in the world and we expect amazing artwork, even for the smallest things. Many of her past album and single covers are simply iconic. And to be honest even the bad designs from the past are better than what we are getting now. Anyone with a slight design background can see the faults in these recents designs, like excessive use of drop shadows and gradients etc etc. It shows a lack of experience and a lack of artistic expertise. But I think Madonna is using fan art because these releases are for the fans rather than a wider audience. It's quick, cheap and easy for her. I'm sure her next album will be done by one of the big professional designers.

I don’t hate Aldo. Good for him for getting the job. But that doesn’t mean everyone has to like his work. I personally don’t like it for various reasons. Others love it. The world would be boring if everyone had the same opinion. You don’t have to love everything just because you’re a fan.

The sped up version is stupid, but I understand why she included it. And she was right to include it. I’m surprised she didn’t include a slowed down version too as isn’t that the most popular on TikTok?
Artwork by Aldo Diaz. I feel so sad that she’s going with the most amateurish designs when there are so many amazing designers out there who do incredible things. I’m losing hope for any decent back catalog releases 😔

I think it's the other way around, a TV series could be a bigger success and could massively influence sales/streams of her hits. It would stay online for a long time and wouldn't depend just on the opening week numbers like the movies. Successful TV shows do huge numbers nowadays, it would be the ideal marketing strategy for a musician. Just imagine the streaming numbers after important scenes featuring music.
Also, direction is not so heavily scrutinized in TV shows, and most shows are directed by more than one director, so it would make M's job much easier. The team is crazy not to consider this as the best option.

Point is some fans will accept any old shit. And if you don’t accept it you’re a hater who “needs to move on”.

Haven't seen the Whitney film, but I look forward to seeing it.  I agree it's hard to fit a iconic career into 2 hours.  Madonna deserves a featured film, and that's why I'm mixed on a series.  Like you mentioned,  a story on her, deserves more than just a 2 hour film.  So many iconic moments to share.  I got the impression she was interested in the idea of doing a series, but her deal is for a featured film.  A featured film will probably gain more attention, while a Netflix series may get lost in the shuffle. I'm glad she's telling it and she's supposedly directing it.  There have been plenty of unauthorized books and specials on her, we deserve to see her side of things.  There is so much more she can tell us and give insight on then anyone else telling her story.

I like the cover by Aldo Diaz. It's also perfectly adequate for a trending song from TikTok.
But when it comes to huge projects like "Finally Enough Love" or real singles, a professional graphic designer like Mr. Brainwash (designer of Celebration Album) or Kevin Reagan (designer of Music Album, Hollywood Single, GHV2...) would be a much better choice (in my opinion).

What I mean is non-fans are hearing the song and liking it and couldn’t care less if it’s a demo. To them it’s new Madonna and they seem to be surprised when they learn it’s Madonna.
