From Neil at Madonna Tribe:
Best night of the tour by far for me. Aside from when she sat on my lap and felt me up.

She started just after 9 with God Control.

No beer bitch - instead we had DCFMA (not the whole thing but enough - second verse to the end) with Andrew Lloyd Weber watching. 

As Come Alive came to an end she turned to the backing singers and said GO. This was 10.55pm. During Future she was visibly hurried and said something about not being pulled off stage.

At the end of Like a Prayer she got the entire audience ping and chanting I HAVE ONE MORE SONG, I HAVE ONE MORE SONG.

As the curtain pulled across she said “keep my mic on. I’m finishing the show. We’re going on”.

The lights went down for I Rise at 11.10pm and just as the intro started they closed the curtains on her.

BARE IN MIND THE FINAL CURFEW IS 11.15pm.

She started chanting censorship - off stage - and 2500 people - with the lights on - chanted too - it was good humoured, in support of Madonna. It was crazy and exciting and positive. 

Her sound team through the stage speakers restarted I Rise as the dancers all came on stage along with the band and crew and backing singers in their off stage outfits. With the house mic on and music just audible she performed the whole of I Rise IN FRONT OF THE IRON CURTAIN.

It was like a gigantic FUCK YOU to the petty London Palladium who shut her down 5 full minutes before curfew. 

Venue security were all over the place, whining. Everyone left their seats and crowded the stage shouting and singing I Rise. Best most amazing atmosphere.

At the end, defiant to the last, she excited through the crowd flanked by her own awesome security full crew dancers and singers. Despite the crowd being out of their seats , they just parted for her safe exit. It was magic.

On the way out the London Palladium security were hanging their heads in shame. Ranging from “Westminster Council pulled the plug” (so a counsellor was on site to pull it 5 minutes early?) to “omg I’m so worried this will be in the papers tomorrow”. One security guard said to me “we’ve seriously fucked up here. She wasn’t late”.

So let’s not start bleating that she was over curfew. She wasn’t. She has until 11.15pm according to venue security.

Absolutely brilliant end. I live for moments like this where I see the brave defiant shit disturber Madonna come to the surface. And in the face of petty over zealous London Palladium security tonight, she won.

The rest of the run will be very interesting.

This is a FAN. This guy's energy and approach represent for me not only a fan but a person who loves madonna deeply. Look how cute is the end. She's also very happy too : )

I'm sure she'll film a few Lisbon shows. I honestly think the best way to capture the close shots is to film a dress rehearsal (this will allow multiple cameras set up in the theatre without blocking views) and 1-2 regular shows. I agree about the editing; it should be kept minimal this time to capture the intimate experience. And as someone else said, just a few cameras will do the trick - much like how Adele's Royal Albert Hall show was filmed; it was perfect. And of course, edit down the speeches - we don't need 30 minutes of her chit chatting throughout.

Maybe she cancelled because she is just too busy editing the Paris show of The Blond Ambition Tour. I mean, I would feel too busy if I was doing that...

I agree he has a real understanding of her songs and reworking. I think if she hadn't went down the route of collaborating with other artists and trying urban/hip-hop to appeal to a younger crowd has what hurt her career and a lot of semi Madonna fans deserted her after that.
Also, I think if she hadn't chosen this, then she would still have Stuart Price on tour. After all she has kept Jamie King and Monte and Kevin. She was annoyed and stopped working with Stuart because he got it on with her PA Angela (who is lovely). I'm sure they have a child together now.

I would have loved Celebration (the best of, not the track) to be fully mixed by Stuart Price. As in a new fresh take on the classics. As what was done for The Immaculate Collection mixed by Shep back in the days.

to awnser the question, x-static process is without a doubt my favorite SP collaboration, after that maybe erotica for confessions tour and most of the reworkings for re-invention. Though I always whish she kept SP as musical director for her tours I'm not that keen on their recordings. Confessions, to me, is one of the most overrated M albums and definitly not the definitive album of the 2000's, both Music and AL are way more Madonnaesque and frankly just better. I think sticky and sweet got a bit in the way, as I can't see stuart making anything urban or hip hop work in his favor, it's natural she wanted a different direction, but every tour since would have benefitted form stuart's touch. I think he has a real understanding of what makes a madonna song, and that translates really well live and with the oldies. At the same time that is also the problem I have with confessions, it all sounds too much like how you would expect a madonna record would sound, without having any real umph or urgency in the time it was released. That said Forbidden Love is an absolute gem ;-)

Love the reworking he did on old classic M tracks for the RIT. ONLY wished he would use the full vocals on the tracks. For example on PDP (RIT) and Everybody (CPT) he skipped verses/bridges and choruses.

I agree with you, I guess probably It will be some people that receives the code and they don't neither use it or share it 

Based on similar experiences buying U2 tickets last year, the code just unlock the sale and allows you to buy up to x tickets. 4 in our case. You can also buy VIP packages on top of the regular tickets. 

Christopher Lyons did a great job even get some recognise from Liz.

I did this 5 years ago just for fun  after I saw the Pink Floyd's Immersion box set and wondering why the hell Warner or even Madonna don't treat her legacy properly.
