I don't know nothing about the master tapes of Donna Summer, but as far as I know, Madonna recorded every live show until Confessions in SD-TV quality, so the master tapes are the best option to release something, not taken from commercials Laser-Discs, DVD or VHS. Maybe after Confessions (it's a guess) she started to recording in HD-TV her live shows.

Why remaster the Japan Pioneer Laserdisc when they have the master tapes with better quality?

Love MDNA! If you hate it then you’re definitely not a Madonna fan... ?

I really love MDNA. It's a solid album with amazing tracks. I've never understood the hate. If you love classic Madonna's music, how can you not love MDNA? The bad choice of singles killed MDNA.  PS: I always name "MDNA" as "Madonna's DNA"

Democracy? Point the finger at people who think differently? Oh, come on!
We are talking about digital bits, numerical data and mathematical algorithms, not about the gay rights or about the Holy Trinity.
In Maths 1+1=2, and that is a fact, not an opinion.
Why do you have problems with a Wav compressed in FLAC but you don't have any problem with a Wav compressed in a Zip file downloaded from the web? They are equally compressed. Remember, a wav is just a digital file with numerical data. Every digital file (program, video, audio, picture...) is just a collection of numerical data.

@sl-rp A Flac sounds identical to the original wav because YOU DON'T LOSE ANY DATA, YOU ONLY COMPRESS THE DATA, YOU DON'T ERASE ANY DATA. If you don't understand the difference between compress data and lose data then you will never understand how a lossless file works.

@sl-pr How many times we need to say it? A FLAC file compress the data, and when you play it, DECOMPRESS the compressed data in real-time restoring the original audio. A Flac file don't lose data. It's works like a Rar or Zip file. A Wav is also compressed in a RAR file and you can restore to the original size and quality.
Compress data is different to lose or erase data like the mp3 do with wav files.

How File Compression Works: Lossless Compression
Lossless compression is a way of reducing file size so that you can perfectly reconstruct the original file. Contrary to lossy compression, it doesn’t throw any information out. Instead, lossless compression essentially works by removing redundancy.
Let’s take a basic example to show what this means. Below is a stack of 10 bricks: two blue, five yellow, and three red. This stack is a simple way to illustrate those blocks, but there’s another way to do so.

Instead of showing all 10 blocks, we can remove all but one of each color. Then, if we use numbers to show how many bricks of each color there were, we’ve represented the exact same bit of information using far fewer bricks. Instead of 10 bricks, we now only need three.

This is a simple illustration of how lossless compression is possible. It stores the same information in a more efficient way by removing redundancy. Consider an actual file, where the below string:
    mmmmmuuuuuuuoooooooooooo
Can “compress” to the following, much shorter form:
    m5u7o12
This allows us to use seven characters instead of 24 to represent the same data, which is a significant saving.

As we mentioned above, lossless compression is important in cases where you can’t remove any of the original file. If you’ve been curious as to how ZIP files work, this is the answer.
When you create a ZIP file from a program executable in Windows, it uses lossless compression. The ZIP file compression is a more efficient way to store the program, but when you unzip (decompress) it, all the original information is present. If you used lossy compression to compress executables, the unzipped version would be damaged and unusable.
Common lossless formats include PNG for images, FLAC for audio, and ZIP. Lossless formats for video are rare, because they would take up massive amounts of space.

The kbps are due to the compression on the bytes themselves, the audio is 1:1 identical. There is NO difference, except FLAC is a smaller file size. The files in a flac are not "cut", you're basing the quality on something you shouldn't be that doesn't actually mean anything. Look at the spectrogram. Nothing is lost. Invert a flac and a wav against each other in Audacity, it 100% cancels out, because the audio stream is identical. It's like saying a wav in a zip file isn't really lossless because the zip file is smaller than it would be unzipped.

A flac file is a lossless compressed file, when you play it, the codec decompress the digital audio to an identical copy of the original audio data. It's the same with a Zip or Rar file, they compress and decompress files without lose data.

"4K Video Downloader" is the best in my opinion. You can choose any resolution available for the video. And it is free.
