An anthem for the materialistic 80s, Material Girl was blasting in every shopping mall back in the day. It's a cute pop song and love how Madonna reinvented herself into modern day Marilyn for the video.

I never really got into this song until about a year ago when I started hearing it on my local retro radio station more frequently and I fell in love with its campy vibes.
For a long time, Madonna really didn't like being associated with this song, so I learnt to not take it seriously. It's obviously an exaggeration/dramatization. I also like how she reclaimed the name "Material Girl" later on.
To me, it's a very fun song and it's definitely very iconic.

I actually really love that remix AND video. With all of the long form videos happening now, I think if it were made in this decade it could be even better- story wise- if that was what they were going for. 

I neither like the album version nor the spanish version but I love the amazing video-clip and the remix by Above & Beyond. 

In my opinion, her first iconic video-clip.

NO, NO and NO. I love the song but It's not her best video. And I am as Madonna's fan as you and I don't have to go anywhere.

One question: Can Warner/Rhino sell new reissues from old promos? I mean for example something like these promos:

A remaster means to fix problems (digital or analog). It is not a volume problem. Like A Prayer needs a remaster because the bass is too low. The singles (Like A Prayer, Express Yourself, Cherish, even Dear Jessie and Oh Father) have the bass higher and they sound amazing. 

I don't see why not. Alot of promos were released in selling format after the fact. Also, Warner does own Sire.

I only hate Human Nature and Bitch, I'm Madonna. There are songs that I don't like in her huge catalog but I can play them without problems.

Gang Bang. I love when Madonna dances and especially when she turns into the evil "Dark Madonna"

In my humble opinion, yes, the quality is different. For example, I love the demo versions of "Wash All Over Me", "Rebel Heart", "Illuminati", "Joan of Arc", etc, etc, and I can't stand the final album versions. 

If you speak spanish, the song is a nightmare... Her spanish is acceptable but the translations to english are totally wrong.
