Madame X. The over use of vocoder killed this album for me (but I love Medellin, God control and IDSIF).

I didn't have an issue with MDNA, but I do remember being disappointed with Erotica (the album) when it was first released. Remember sitting in my living room, thinking "WTF?"   LOL!  It took me a while to really appreciate that album.  Though, I still really have no interest for "Waiting" and "Did You Do It?"  I also didn't like "Secret Garden" at first.  I did like the lyrics, but the music I just didn't like. Though over time, I started to appreciate it much more. 

Rebel Heart: feels like a weak remix album compared to the demos. Madame X: has some great tracks, but others really don’t work for me. That said, even what I consider to be Madonna's weakest album is still impressive in its own way.

I feel like that timbaland/pharrell production was already dated when it was released back in 2008. it's aged even more horribly now. Felt desperate.
MDNA has a lot of bad songs, but the good songs are really, really good.

Im shocked people are saying, True Blue, Like a Prayer or even Like a virgin. 3 of the most iconic albums of the 80s and definitely in the upper half of best albums, with some even top 3.
 

Never heard Stuart worked on the box set, just that he was working on 5.1 versions AFTER it was canceled when other artists started releasing 5.1 albums. Plus word was always that once AL flopped Warner didnt wanna put money or time into it, nothing having to do with Guy or Caresse getting fired. There was also going to be an American Life Remixed album that never got released. 

They were planning on a 20th anniversary box set with all albums remastered by Stuart Price with bonus tracks but (OF COURSE) it was canceled when Madonna's manager left. Guy obviously couldn't be bothered taking charge of such a release. 

So I guess LDYG is considered "unreleased" in USA?

Yeah, I'm doubting anything from Shep sessions since she abandoned that direction to go more R&B.  I suspect the majority of it will just be remixes of the major singles from the album.  I don't consider "Freedom", "Your Honesty", and "Let Down Your Guard" as unreleased, being "Your Honesty" and "Let Down Your Guard" were released on a single and EP.  And while "Freedom" was released on a Madonna album/ep/single, it still was released.  Anyway, you never know what they'll consider "unlreleased".

Fingers crossed that this one get the La Isla Bonita, not the Papa Don't Preach treatment, i.e. not being "remastered"

No, but it was on True Blue 35, so it will probably be the same.

But that's because Bowie is dead. And you know how happy are to 'open vaults' and release every single cassette they found while hoovering the studio, under a sofa.
But Madonna is precious about this stuff and perfectionist. that's why we don;t have any of the special anniversary boxes with new material and demos.

Why ? It's not rare at all... Can't undestand how some wishes a very basic release instead of dreaming about treasures.
