I couldn't agree more. You're not allowed to have a view now that doesn't fit the narrative. God help you too if you try to present a well constructed argument. You'll just get attacked ad hominem. I find admiring the Orwellian settlements from a distance helps.

It's times like this I miss the banterful slum that was MChile.  There was no such thing as staff intervention or logical arguments - just hot topics with pages of incredible shit slinging and formidable comebacks. Used to be great fun trawling through it haha.

It’s strange to me that the vast majority of people on these boards are adults, but they act like spoilt children behind a screen. There’s meant to be passion in a fanbase, but Madonna fan forums have been a toxic environment more often than not for the greater part of the last 12 years. The Hard Candy era was a major turning point. Arguments over plastic surgery and whether or not we are entitled to express an opinion at all have usurped the very essence of what initially brought Madonna fans together online at the turn of the century; a thirst for a deeper understanding of Madonna the individual, and Madonna the entertainer and public figure. Exploring the triumphs, the failures, the paradoxes and the evolutionary process of her creative output as the world has changed should be exciting and stimulating, but there are always the loudmouths with their petulant faux outrage that serves as no more than a mask for all their own unexamined repressed shame and self-judgment. The politically correct eventually became the SJW contingency, and now those that feel the least at peace with themselves use their online identities to attack people for expressing opinion at any cost because they thrive on having somewhere to express all that anger inside. Sad indeed, but one just has to accept that there will always be a peanut gallery. If there’s anything I’ve learned from Madonna, it’s to process your wounds privately and then come back fighting smarter.

Bedtime Stories is a sublimely understated album that has served as the backdrop to many an evening filled with chill vibes and good conversation over the last almost twenty-six years. Madonna served some of her subtlest vocal sweetness ever on it, and it deserves every moment of recognition for being as contemporary and fresh today as it was three decades ago. This will always be the trajectory of the general public when it comes to appreciating her work. I’m very happy to see Bedtime Stories help to restore Madonna’s good reputation as a purveyor of all extraordinary things musical and visual. Madonnanation still sucks, and my thought process will continue to be such that I elaborate on other people’s points of view whether they stay the course of the primary topic or they veer off into expansive dialog worthy of a fanbase! Cheers!

Madonnanation is a shame pit. I was banned on there just last week. I only ever contributed intellectual content, but you simply cannot expect a bunch of overgrown gay men with permanent arrested development to step beyond ego and challenge themselves to an expansive view of life. One must not criticize Madonna when it isn't in alignment with the peanut gallery. It always seems so ironic to me that freedom of speech can be so limited on a Madonna forum, but it is always the same tyrannical people who act out. Suedehead is probably 60, and is an incorrigible bully. In fact many of the most vociferous Madonna "fans" are in a perpetual state of egoic reactivity.

just figure that if she’s laying down vocals for her BF, she probably has a cool recording setup out in the Hamptons, and she’s most probably gotten creative while she can’t be as active as she’d like due to healing from her injuries.

I hated Madonnation because the mods seemed to be mental inquisitors but i've just been insulted by someone here (and i wasn't the only one) so i don't know if it's any better now. You may disagree with someone but name calling and insulting is never an option and in a way it invalidates your point (even if you are right). I'm a bit disappointed by Infinity now.

Hopefully (even if it went number one just because it's on sale) it will show her there's a demand for her back catalogue and maybe she'll treat it better. I hope Warner took note and will harrass her & Oseary now.
    We, at least, need remasters.

Honestly, does anyone think Madonna would do anything that she hasn't been clearly informed is safe? It's more like those who are up in arms are simply jealous that they don't have the courage to understand that the media has been nailing them into a fear coffin for months. If you aren't immune-compromised, you'll be fine. Stop living in fear! Life will go on with or without you. Practice caution, not fascism.

-Hire a fucking community manager for your social media accounts. You are not doing it well, sweetie.
-Keep your fans happy. In the end, they're the ones who buy your records nowadays.
-Live in the fucking real world, 400€ for a concert ticket won't get your "real" fans to the concerts, only the rich ones.
-You're a living legend, care about your legacy.

Peppered throughout Madonna's career are references to drug use, both illicit and pharmaceutical. Sleeping pills, anti-anxiety medication, ecstasy, MDMA, cocaine, smoking cigarettes. She's a total paradox and hypocrite on a multitude of levels. She's a human being. It would seem that since 2015 Madonna is a person deeply uncomfortable in her skin on some level, and her increasing overt use of alcohol in recent years has seemed counterintuitive to her lifelong PR message. Again, not much of a surprise. Madonna has been a part of the entertainment industry for a very long time; an industry full of corrupt people and highly immoral behavior. How things are presented to us is almost never the truth. The world is a very complex place.
