the star sign must be just a joke, but it's actually quite a relief to know that she DOES have the ability to say "no" to things at this point...

hard to believe we should actually be partially thankful for what we got hahaha

100% totally deserved - she pushed the envelope more than MJ and of course outlasted him and her music is way more eclectic than him but I love him still ?

True but we also know she had few faux pas too. (Black Madonna anyone?) And Vogue will be always on the verge of controversy of how much she helped the Ballroom culture or how much she profited from it.

How sad it is to think that you have a piano (and also a choir this time!) but you'd rather use a track. It was great to hear Rickey Pageot playing it during the backstage tour. But the sound during the concert sounded so fake. When the Batukadeiras passed next to me on the aisle they weren't singing. Bring back Patrick Leonard and Jai Winding live!

There is no conspiracy. Hydroxychloroquine has been shown to cause terrible side effects and not be that effective. That doesn't mean it's use shouldn't be explored (and it is being explored, carefully). But again, there is no massive conspiracy among the doctors and disease experts of the world. It's been made a political issue by Trump, who has a financial stake in hydroxychloroquine, and is desperate to do anything to detract from his absolute failure to effectively lead during the crisis. He lies at every turn and blames everyone else and this is just another example. The video by the "doctors" was a massively misleading bit of propaganda produced by far right wing media manipulators.  The fact that Madonna was sucked in is disturbing, but at least she has since deleted the video.
There is no miracle "cure" for COVID-19, just like there is no cure for the flu. There are just treatments. This won't get better until a vaccine has been widely distributed.  Listen to science, not quackery or political propaganda.

Yes, in conjunction with zinc and azithromycin, if it was offered to me as a treatment and I was in a severe state of illness...I would have no choice but to trust the medical practitioner in charge of the protocol to follow...Not because the homophobic Nigerian doctor Stella Immanuel, Madonna or Donald Trump recommended it, but because I would want to give myself every chance to recover. My father contracted malaria thirty years ago and has taken this medication, and so I am aware of its effects. It isn't an easy drug to take, but then again, malaria isn't a fun illness, and it is recurrent. Again, I am not a medical professional, nor do I pretend to have any insight beyond anyone else in matters of covid-19 and its pathology. However, as there are no alternative treatments, I would want to give myself every opportunity at survival and eventual recovery. If that makes me naive or insane, I am fine with that.

lennyleonard reacted to Aiwa08 in Express Yourself (Remix Edit with Vocal Intro)
We all know that the original Remix Edit doesn't have the vocal intro ("Come Girls, Do You Believe in Love,...."). For the video-clip Warner/Madonna copied & pasted the vocal intro from the "Local Mix". Finally, in 1991, The Immaculate Collection gave us the proper "Remix Edit" vocal intro, but the song was edited to four minutes. So I've added to the original Remix Edit the original vocal intro from the Immaculate Collection. If you wanna enjoy the full Remix Edit with the proper vocal intro, here it is:

lennyleonard got a reaction from MPowered in Information RQ: Cyberraga and Shanti
I have done a few yoga classes in college a while ago, and to put it simply (hope I'm not being reductive with the matter) the mantra in Shanti/Ashtangi is the opening one, and part of Cyberraga is the closing one.
@UnruheI found this transcription, which is the part of Cyberraga that I mentioned:
    Om
    Svastih prajābhyah paripālayantām
    Nyāyena mārgena mahim mahīśāh
    Gobrāhmanebhyah śubhamastu nityam
    Lokāh samastāh sukhino bhavantu
    Om Shanti Shanti Shanti
    Om
I could never find any other information about the other bits of Cyberraga... Don't know what it is, nor have found any other transcriptions of it... And what is weird - or maybe a clue - is that this part, the closing one is the exact bit of the song that she sang in the MDNA Tour performance...

I think the other factor is the venues. Do they think she is worth it? A theatre is not as financially stable as an arena, having to pay possible penalty rates to employees who are on shift later then intended would be costly, plus the reputation of the venue is an issue too. I am not sure if the theatres would be be able to fine Madonna and recoup the cost. It would depend on whether the venues see the revenue vs cost as worth it.
If you looked at ticket sales for Rebel Heart, they were sluggish, she definitely did not get highest grossing touring act for that show. In fact she was 16th according to Forbes. She had trouble selling out more than one night in big cities where she had never had an issue before. It seemed weekend shows were fine, but mid-week shows were not selling as well and as fast. There were also big gaps in certain spots where normally multiple shows would have been added in the past.
The cynic in me (and I feel you might disagree) feels that she saw the writing on the wall for Rebel Heart. TOAC was put together at the very end of the tour and she began building this narrative that she wanted to do smaller more intimate shows and change the way she toured. It was pretty obvious she was going to do a TOAC style show next time she went out. But I wonder how much of this was spin, as she knew she was going to have a hard time selling arenas again. It basically covers her ass, so it looks like a creative choice. But that is just the cynic in me. Not looking for an arguement, just my cynical opinion here, not sure I 100% believe this.
