Fair enough. I thought it pretty much universal that Style was pop perfection and Taylors best track. It was also sonically analysed to have the pace, melody and chord progressions that appeal to the human ear. There were think pieces on it at the time I wouldn't be able to find them now but here's a couple.

Musically 4 Minutes is brilliant. I just kinda dislike the Justin bits even though I actually dig Justin.
Medellin was beaut but undercooked a tad.
Britney one is still one of the worst things she's done.
I like her Dua verse on Levitating a lot.
Sam Smith is mid and gimmicky
Popular are the definition of mid background coffee shop music.
Love Song should have been so much more for the star power
I do love Be Careful with Ricky Martin but again it's very unshowy.
Sexy Santana, Tokishca, Anita, Sickick, hard pass.

I actually found Sabrinas album a bit of a tough listen. It's very 90's Destiny's Child man hater energy. It got a bit tiresome after a few tracks.

Taylor is great I don't get the hate.  Once you get past the fluff like Shake It Off, You Need To Calm Down. Me, Look What You Made Me Do there's heaps to be enjoyed. I think she does have a habit of releasing some of the worst tracks on the albums as singles TBH but the fanbase seem to make sure the best ones rise to the top through streaming like August & Cruel Summer. I wasn't convinced either at first but her voice is lovely and syrupy and her writing is actually sublime in places.
Tolerate It LOLM Marjorie The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived  She really hones in on human emotions and those thoughts in your head very eloquently and poetically. . It took me by surprise actually after hearing the singles she's released. If Max Martin could give Madonna anything as sublime as Style I'd be thrilled. It's a perfect pop song.

I'm still waiting for Madonna to do a collab that I actually like. The previous ones have always seemed like very simple and forgettable songs to me.

She doesn’t want to sing “saying I’m too young”
The song is forever intwined with teenage pregnancy. She probably feels dumb singing it past her 40’s after she’s had kids.

steady75 reacted to Aiwa08 in MADONNA AND WARNER MUSIC GROUP ANNOUNCE MILESTONE, CAREER-SPANNING PARTNERSHIP!!
Sadly, Madonna will eventually become just a name in music history. Her work will be archived, and at most, only those studying music history will listen to her. The general public, even the more educated, might know who she was, but they won't really know her music. This is how it has always been with other great figures in history.
On a positive note, some might one day find their gay great-grandfather’s Madonna records stored away, play them, and maybe become fans 100 or 200 years from now. But it will just be a handful of people among billions...

That radio edit doesn’t make sense; it’s missing the song’s introduction, which is essential for context.

It was Human Nature, Vogue and then Music. I created a list when the reissues started, just in the order that her team were releasing them, just after the 2005-Interscope years that were already online.

I don’t understand what you are saying? When the digital singles campaign started Human Nature was the first to be uploaded to streaming services. Then I think it was Vogue & Hanky Panky on the same day? I might have the last bit wrong though.
I can’t remember but it was defo Human Nature first which should have been a sign to us that Madonna was behind it all along really.

There were always rumours of a stadium tour to follow. Lemme hope this is it.
Mama better get that cash. A three month stadium tour wouldn’t be too taxing for her. She’s had a nice break now.

She only really did Europe & North America continent wise and the Rio gig.
Oceania , Asia & South America plus the odd Major City in Europe & USA.

She really want to keep the world sweet before the biopic too.
Of all her tours this would be the one that would have a second leg. Her first Greatest Hits show not touring the world?

I'd never seek out You'll See personally. I kind of have an oversion to the 90's hell run of ballad / downtempo mood piece vibe tracks.
The run through syrup from Bad Girl To The Power Of Goodbye.. a slog. Any complete chronological 90's compilation would have sagged in the middle like a wet pudding.
like walking through a morgue Human Nature / Ray Of Light aside even Bedtime Story was a mood piece really. Thank god for the remixes.
Bad Girl Rain I'll Remember Secret Take A Bow You'll See I Want You Love Dont Live Here Anymore Oh Father One More Chance Forbidden Love threatening a release You Must Love Me Dont Cry For Me Another Suitcase In Another Hall Frozen Drowned World The Power Of Goodbye / Little Star I was convinced the UK was gonna get another bloody Crazy For You release, they did Holiday three times.
I also saw I'd Be Surprisingly Good For You listed as a forthcoming single release on one of those backboards behind the counter  in HMV Oxford street at the time. I've never heard anything about that as a cancelled single release  but it was 100% there. Probably some over eager queen who worked there going crazy with the label maker. It's my favourite song from the album so I won't have minded that tbh.
No wonder she was so against releasing ballads for years to come. The drudgery. Some amazing songs but a Gay in his 20's was tryna find a pulse .
but I lived through it girls. I survived.
I wonder if anyone has the remixed version of Another Suitcase In Another Hall that was supposed to be released on the Cancelled remix EP?
