I like GHV2, it's got lots of Edits all in one place. Only thing I wished was different is that it was in chronological order.

Well, The Celebration Tour version is not a performance, but an interlude. It'll win this poll by far.
IMO, Girlie Show is the worst by far.

The original release of the album is perfect.  Sure, I question the absence of Who's That Girl, True Blue and Causing A Commotion, but what was included was great.  And it's not like her team didn't react to the absence to those songs, by releasing the "Holiday Collection".
My issue with this album is what is now on streaming and digital platforms. The mixes they substituted for the original versions such as Lucky Star.  To me, it falsely represents what the album stood for. Madonna purposely remixed and mastered all those songs in a way, to be different to what was already released to the public. She didn't want to just release a typical Greatest Hits of versions that were already available. She wanted to present the songs slightly different, yet still true to form.
Nothing will be better than the physical release of this collection. A double disc wasn't necessary back then.

Madonna is having her biggest song in more than a decade and gaining 1M listeners each day on Spotify thanks to this but still some fans seem to be completely focused on wanting her to flop. For what reason? God knows. But she truly can't win with some people, right?
She's not flopping. She's winning. Get over it.

Almost 12M in four days is "so few streams"?
It'll be her first US Top 50 in ELEVEN years. Only two weeks ago this seemed impossible for her at this point.
Let's celebrate instead of trying to find the negative angle. Plus it still got chances to grow if it gets radio airplay (or the label buys it).

I want Madonna's last decade equally represented in the Celebration tour (1/4).  It was so artistic and quite brilliant at times. I actually loved the Interecope years.  I do not want a Blonde Ambition rehash with a few more current versus sprinkled in.  If you are gonna celebrate forty years, by God, do it.

I know some people here expect here to do anti tour it’s labelled as Celebration Tour. She’s going to open with her deep cut hit that only the die hards know Shoo be Do. Come guys and girls we going to get all the greatest hits from vogue to like a prayer, like a virgin to music and it’s gonna be brilliant. If you don’t want the hits wait for an anti tour

What can I say. Anything iTunes Match, Cloud and Apple Music sync related is doomed from the start. That's what we got from Apple being in a hurry and trying to bring out their streaming service as soon as possible to compete with Spotify. They used all the back end Match and iTunes system so all kind of s**t goes on in the background and it's all based on a late 00s system... iTunes and iTunes Match.
That's why the iTunes Store is still going on, by the way (and the pennies they do with it).
I've been purchasing music on iTunes from years and years - I still do sometimes when I want to support the artist, since they got more with sales than streaming or if I want to edit the metadata, I'm very picky with titles and stuff. I decided to try Apple Music once and sync my own library with the service and it was SUCH A MESS that I decided I would never do that again. Apple Music is good if you use it just a streaming service right from the start and don't mix with your own music.
If this is the only issue you've found so far you're lucky! Most people get live tracks matched with album tracks, album tracks matched with live tracks, explicit versions changed for the clean versions and all kinds of trouble.

I've said this many times before but I will reiterate.
I am an avid tour box office/ticket sales watcher and there is nothing abnormal about how these newly announced shows are selling. How the original dates sold was what was abnormal.
The days of instant sell outs are long behind us unless the artist has achieved a certain pop culture dominance that not many get to and/or the tour itself has drawn a lot of media commotion. That only accounts for 1-2% of touring artists today. In recent memory, the only artists to sell out arena or stadium tours immediately are Harry Styles and Taylor Swift.
The sales rush Madonna experienced with the first dates came from the hype that was created around an artist of her stature doing a long awaited greatest hits tour. If this were just another album tour, we wouldn't have seen that happen. That was uncommon not just for her current standards, but the for the standards of most artists in today's world.
Concerts are getting more and more expensive and people are less and less willing to spend that money for what amounts to 2-3 hours of their lives. As such, ticket sales tend to go much slower and we only see full sell outs in the days or sometimes hours before the show actually begins. On the Rebel Heart Tour, Toronto and Nashville both had a ton of tickets available in the week before the show, but by the time she was on stage that arena was full.
Most people wait to buy either until they've saved money or until they know what they're going to get from a show. Only big fans get their tickets immediately, and as we saw, they did. This tour is not just catering to big fans, it's bringing in an audience she likely hasn't played for in years, and they move slower in buyng tickets just like the always have. The majority of artists won't have their venue sold out until the very day that the show is happening, and that is not some new phenomenon, it has been that way for well over a decade now. This show is months and months away, so no of course it isn't going to be sold out now. That's just now how it works anymore.
These shows will be just fine. LiveNation, the promoters, and the venue wouldn't have booked them if they felt they were in any danger of flopping. Once upon a time they'd take those chances, but not in a world now where touring is such a costly investment for all parties involved.

Why are we pitting Taylor against Madonna?
They aren't in competition. There is no gold metal at the end of this "race." Your "team" isn't going to win or lose. This isn't the Olympics.
You can like both. YES - you can like both.
You can also like one. Or the other. Or neither.
But for the purpose of this thread can we get back to MADONNA'S CELEBRATION TOUR ?

Madame X - For me the worst album by far and the only album from Madonna I will never buy or want to hear again, I'm totally baffled by this era.
Hard Candy - This is when Madonna started following trends instead of making them.
American Life - Boring album but made better only when listening to the official remixes.

These are just my opinions, what is your Worst Madonna Albums?
