"Rain" is the perfect smooth calm moment after all the "Bedtime Story" and "Ray Of Light" rave euphoria (I wouldn't change it for "Frozen" AT ALL. Actually I'd even find "Frozen" weird in that spot).
God this tour is almost perfect, isn't it.

Rain is the song for this tour - and for that particular moment in the show.
Bedtime Story is M transitioning away from the Erotica era. Ray of Light is her reawakening, her light, her children… and then in Rain she sings about the overflowing love that this stage of her life gave her. Love coming down like rain. Full circle. Frozen would completely change the message of that section of the show - and it’s been performed loads already.

The show was incredible, my favourite performances were Die Another Day, Mother and Father, Open Your heart, Justify My Love, Holiday, Bad Girl, Vogue and that little snippet of causing a comootion we got last night. 
I'd be lying if I said I wasn't feeling a bit sad all day. All the build up to seeing Madonna & it’s all over & now she’s going back to the US and I'm back to work and reality tomorrow, & the fact that I’m waiting on payday at the end of the month & it’s Christmas before thatit was worth every penny to finally see her though. US and Canaidan peeps please get tickets if you haven't already
I wore a jacket worn by one of the dancers in the BIM video and lots of people compliemented me on it, I even sent a selfie to the whatsapp number but didn't get upgraded to pit. Boo
I also dragged my husband with me seen here in the black hoodie, He had previously seen on the rebel heart tour, he enjoyed last night, but the only song he really knew was Don't Tell me, is that grounds for divorce?

Just back from the show.
Omg what an amazing show.... Really so much to take in.   But the main thing was at the point before she sang I will survive, she gave a speech about world AIDS day... So moving and it lasted over ten minutes long.  I know because she was right in front of me when she started and because she was so close I started filming on my phone.   I was nearly out of power so I was conscious of needing to press Stop and save the file etc.   What an amazing woman.... This is why I love her.  At a certain point near the end of the speech she seemed to be a bit lost as to how to get back on track with the show and she said something and I shouted "Hell yeah".... She looked in my direction and said "can I get a hell yeah?" And got back on track and went into I will survive.   I need to watch it back but I *think* I might have just had a Madonna moment.

Pardon me while I rant.... it pisses me off how some of the newer generation into other artists more than Madonna dismiss how Madonna played a huge part in addressing and combating the AIDS crisis.  I know a few entertainers such as Liz Taylor was right there doing just as much, but when Madonna was in her prime, she was very much fighting the Aids crisis and always has been. Her and Liz Taylor were two huge stars making a difference before it was "cool" to do so. It's sad how some artist only took on the cause because it gave them some sort of "credit", while whatever they did to positively help the situation, entertainers like Liz Taylor and Madonna took SERIOUS risks to talk about it when no one else was willing to do so.  These days,  it's an afterthought for some artists, while back in the day, entertainers were risking their careers when addressing it.

Why do you think she sang a little bit of ILNY at this show?   I can see her doing it at the New York shows. 
I agree; it's cool she did it.  And the last thing I was thinking was if she was "on" or "off" key. She was just messing around singing that part.  What was that  three seconds out of a 2 plus hour show? I'm sure there were many other "off key" moments, but I prefer to hear the imperfections than miming to a backing track.

Well, for me it's cool to add a little wink to ILNY at the end of BU, that's it, i'm not even thinking if she's on or off key, it's my opinion :-) Just like adding those little verses of Causing A Commotion. I think we fans love those things and think they're cool.

I just wanted to share my thoughts and feelings about yesterday's show in Cologne. It was simply FANTASTIC! My first ever concert of M and it was amazing. She was in great form even though she has been through a lot of health problems, but I was surprised by how much she actually dances. She was also smiling a lot which was beautiful.
Before the show I had watched a few of the videos online and I was kind of confused about it, because it seemed like not on par with her previous tours and a few setlist choices left me wondering. All of these feelings disappeared once I saw the show live. The song choices and the storyline now make a lot more sense to me and the show overall seems very well planned with so much attention to details (costumes, references, tributes etc).
Live to tell and Mother and father were so emotional and for personal reasons even La isla bonita brought me to tears... I had to elaborate the whole show once I got home and I am still in awe. M showed me once more why she plays in a league of her own and why she means so much to me.

This is exactly the real message M wants to give to people with this concert: making them aware who is the REAL Madonna, who has been this woman for all her life.
She's not any artist who would do a GH Tour with her Top 20 Spotify as setlist. Tis a task for others who never have achieved her sales numbers (and never will). She knows GP have a vision of her by the lenses of bigot media, so only she can tell her true story. Material Girl, Popular, Frozen Sickick AREN'T HER STORY. Nothing Really Matters, Everybody, Erotica/You Thrill Me, Bad Girl and Bedtime Story (and BURNING UP!) ARE. Every song from this concert, written by her or not, is a testimony of hers as person and artist. No wonder this is getting raving acclaim. People now have the chance to know Madonna through Madonna. Period.

I was on a second night in Paris. He didn't play only Madonna tracks, but there were some.
He started his set with an acapella of "Secret Garden" which developed into full private remix.
Then, there were private remixes of "Future Lovers" (mixed with "I Feel Love") and Deeper And Deeper.
Among the released stuff there were: "Sorry" (Man With Guitar Mix mashed with PSB Maxi Mix), "Let It Will Be" (Paper Faces Remix), "Get Together" (Jacques Lu Cont Mix) and "I Love New York" (Thin White Duke Mix).
For non-Madonna stuff there were Jaydee's Plastic Dreams and The Killer's "Mr Brightside" (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke Mix) which closed the set.
Honestly, it was a fantastic set and a perfect warm-up for the concert. He played around 60-70 minutes I think.

Back after my Parisian concert this monday.
I am still in shock and I lack words to express what I felt during this concert.
It's one of her best tours for me (but I didn't attend the MX and RHT). Everything is here. So worked. And really surprised by her physical form because she moves a lot. After reading the reviews and some videos I had watched (I wanted to keep surprises), I thought it would be more static. But it's incredible at her age and after what she's been through to see her in such good shape. Everything is well thought out so that she doesn't get too exhausted.
Stuart did a wonderful job. The versions are so good. Her voice is excellent (and good effects). It’s technically, visually and vocally stunning.
My testimony is probably boring but I loved everything about it. My level of enthusiasm reminds me the one I had leaving the Grilie Show at the same venue 30 years ago

I'm not judging anyone not going, i passed on Rebel Heart because i had health issues and developped agoraphobia in the process. It's a tough economy RN, going to a concert is a luxury a lot of people can't afford and we're not all made of money. I was gonna pass on this tour too for that reason because i was broke when tickets went on sale, luckily i was invited last night and i bought a ticket for next week end because things have changed and i can afford it now. It must already be heartbreaking to not being able to attend for lack of money (and that's something you don't want to brag about) but having people you don't know judging you for not going is hard. Like twisting a knife in a wound.
She's not  in her prime and so are we, i looked around me last night and i gasped because i realized how fucking old we all got. But even if she was not at the top of her game, which is not the case, there's something mystical and magical about basking in Madonna's energy in her presence. I may be crazy saying this but it's sort of molecular....which makes me think of the lyrics of Physical Attraction while i'm typing this. 
I've been told she's meeting with the french minister of culture this week, we don't know why.

Besides, some of the fan footage is far better than some of the official videos released.
