She would be well aware of no new music since MX (apart from some of her tracks re-done with some younger artists who inspire her). Guy and the team who would well aware of all the great press as well. They would have a plan in place.  Stuart has been touring with her the whole time.  His work was basically done at the start putting all the tracks together.  I reckon he would have been working on tracks the whole time.  It maybe sooner than we think

I think Warners will try to persuade her to do a new album and offer their full support that she did't have for her last 3 albums with interscope - think public support is back on her side as much as it has been for about 15 years

Bitches she’s Madonna, she gave 5 back to back concerts in Mexico City, goes partying, flies to Brasil, rehearsed until 2 am, gives the largest most successful performance of her life, and then goes to the after party with Diplo and you all are:
Take a rest, have a holiday drink a piña colada. She’s on the best audience perception she has had in years, strike it while it’s hot, the press and the world is on her side.
Have a nap and get to work on new music, yes go to Italy and the Maldives in between takes but get to work. The time is now, the time is waiting and all that ticktock shit we have been hearing for years.
Agree with no reissues and reminiscences that’s over, she just made $200M just doing that.
Lets dance again Queen mother Madonna we love you!

Shoo Bee Doo is so underrated.  Love Stay as well.  And I'm for a remix with the Weeknd. Another fantastic idea.

She deserves a break. She nearly died and as soon as she was given a couple of months of rest, she was right back at it.  She deserves some time to herself.  Spend time with the family away from all the noise.  She should take a long vacation.  Come back this fall, with the release of her Celebration Tour on streaming platforms (maybe a physical format at some sort?) and start recording a new album. I don't expect any thing new from her in the sense of new music or album until next year some time.  Meanwhile, we can only hope Warner is planning to roll out a fabulous expanded re-issue of Like A Virgin in celebration of it's 40th anniversary.
Most of all, she deserves a long break and then come back strong with new music.

I believe I also said somewhere in these hundreds of pages that she'll be recovered soon enough but I meant like next year when I said it. Not sure what her definition of "soon enough" is

If Liz Rosenberg were still doing PR for Madonna, she'd have absolutely said something in an official capacity by now.  Especially given all the tabloid BS that's been published in the last week!

The general public in the UK absolutely know she is going on tour. Her tour announcement hit Sky News, BBC News and had a segment on ITV News' primetime broadcast show. For clarity very few artists receive this amount of coverage for a mere tour announcement. I don't recall anything of the kind of late for the likes of Mariah, Gaga, Janet, Cher or even the sainted Kylie that people seem to think us Brits adore. For an irrelevant artist she's doing great. God save the Queen.

M's life is vastly different now, which might be a little bit easier for Nikki and Donna to work with her.  M's kids take the lead in her life.
That said, would love to see the three of them on stage for the opener once again banging to an 80s classic like Lucky Star

Piggy backing off you again, to add that it's so often I hear from some, "but she doesn't need the money?"  Maybe that's true to some point.  I suspect, she's set for life if she retired.  However, we have to remember it takes money to keep creating.  She can't just pay for everything herself or that would deplete her own savings. The more her record company sees she's even somewhat profitable, they will back her for future projects.  They will advance her money which can go into promotional gigs or videos for her songs.  Also, I'm sure Madonna loves her lifestyle, so I'm sure to some point she has to keep making money to some capacity whether it's making music or investing it some other way. Like you said, where she ranks is very important for the record company to keep investing in her future as well as her back catalog.

I have to agree here.  Every generation gets slammed for their quality of music and how it's consumed.  A lot of the vocal fans here tend to be the age of their father or even grandfather's now.  It's a never ending cycle where each older generation tends to have a hard time grasping new technologies and the way we consume things.  I guess what I try to keep in mind is that, we are at a point where people can instantly grab on to anything with a click of the finger.  So for an artist like Madonna, who still wants to be among the public eye, she will continue to follow what's popular to remain in the public eye.  I am so appreciative of the digital age because I would have never heard or possess some of the most rarest mixes or demos from Madonna.  It's hard to believe what could come next, but you can bet that the generation that is soaking up Tik Tok will be complaining about future advancments.  It's "Human Nature".

No offense to anyone who wishes to see her on the road. But what’s the point of touring if Madonna is no longer capable of doing a show that is up to her artistic and creative standards? Simply for the sake of nostalgia? I’d rather watch the DVDs and Blu-rays than see her struggle on stage.
    There, I said it.

Sometimes I wonder if we're all seeing the same person on her social media. Does she look like someone who can undergo a grueling stadium tour? Not only physically but she doesn't seem mentally disciplined as she was even just 3 years ago. She set the standard for putting on intricate artistic shows and sadly all her performances over the past 2 years have been mediocre.

Agree, but Madonna´s carreer is also declining very fast Lord knows why and she can´t go on with the level of excellence we used to see from her and this has to be A LOT  with all of the above commented.

Apparently it is already a custom that every time a new singer appears with a couple of hits, the media start calling her the new Queen of Pop, making her and her fans get excited thinking that this could be a reality. But having the most watched video on YouTube or 500 Grammys are not enough to have the right to hold a title or a crown that requires much more than that to be considered Queen of pop.
It's not just about sales or who has the most number ones, being the Queen of pop involves not only being a successful singer but also making an impact on popular culture and Madonna did it in a variety of ways, whether it was fighting for minority rights, encouraging women to express themselves openly and without fear before society, challenging the power and censorship of the Church, etc. And this in times where it was very risky to do all that since it was like fighting alone against the world but she didn't care and kept going despite putting her successful career at risk, which shows that she did it because she really wanted a change in the society even if she lost the fame, money and power that she had at that time.
So we see that having a new Queen of pop will never come true since achieving everything that Madonna did for society is something that today's stars don't seem to be willing to do since they don't want to compromise their careers on behalf of some social struggle (and that there is still so much to do in this world and they could use their popularity to achieve a change). So Madonna can rest assured that no one will be able to take away her crown because none of these artists deserve it and just as the Egyptian emperors were buried with their personal belongings and even with the servants who served them in life, when she dies her crown will be "buried" with her because there will never be someone in this world capable of equaling her, much less surpassing her.

This beautiful crown only has one owner and despite the fact that many appear who want to take it away, they will never achieve it even if they have billions of views on YouTube or trillions of followers on their social networks. They will have to settle for being pop princesses or duchesses.

Britney Spears was the only artist who represented the most serious possibility to become the new Queen of pop but let her personal problems and being overweight affect her musical career.

Wearing extravagant/ridiculous outfits or hairstyles, dressing as a man (creating a rather unpleasant and unbearable character to watch) or creating unnecessary controversies did not help Lady Gaga in the long run since people ended up getting bored of her and her songs. Here we see how important charisma is for an artist, Lady Gaga definitely did not have an iota of that, which Madonna had plenty of and that is why everyone loved her and had fun with her to this day.

Some call Janet Jackson the Queen of pop, but unfortunately she was only known in USA, but not in the rest of the world, so she may be the Queen of pop for many people in that country, but that title has a broader connotation than simply being limited to a single country that does not represent the musical tastes of the rest of the world.

It has been decided that since no applicant was able to meet all the requirements, the position of new Queen of Pop is definitely and forever vacant.

“2022 will mark the  40th anniversary of Madonna’s recording debut. This new deal heralds the launch next year of an extensive, multi-year series of catalog releases that will revisit the groundbreaking music that made her an international icon. For the first time, Madonna will personally curate expansive deluxe editions for many of her landmark albums, as well as introduce unique releases for special events, and much more. The series of releases will be overseen by Warner Music’s catalog team, led by Kevin Gore, President of Global Catalog, Recorded Music, with the first release to be announced soon.“

I think the new music she is/will be creating is related to the movie project. Maybe she'll be a I'm Breathless and release 2CD project. One CD with hits that appear in the movie, one CD with new songs that appear in the movie and/or were inspired by it.

Disco is suuuuch a varied genre though. Its not all 7th and 9th chords and double handclaps. She’s really only dabbled in disco in many ways as her 80’s stuff was pop rock and post disco.

    Deeper & Deeper, God Control.
Most of Confessions is actually french house based with a few choice disco nods to The Jackson’s, Donna Summer and ABBA. The imagery was pure disco but the sound? French house which obviously borrows a lot from the most obvious disco sound.
A big Motown disco orchestral Northern Soul sound.
An Italo disco record with the Pet Shop Boys
I’d also love a late 80’s Chicago acid house inspired record from her. She never really went down the smiley house route.
