As far as music goes, yes 4 Minutes was a worldwide hit. And I heard it on the radio a lot. It's held up well even though I wish it was a duet with anyone else besides Justin.
Hung Up was the last time a new Madonna song release was an EVENT. The way every club I went to would scream and carry on as soon as "Time goes by..." and the ticking started. And these were mixed clubs with lots of straight people. Now yes, there were some people who thought it was cheap damage control that relied too heavily on the Abba sample. But they were the minority.
I have not seen that kind of reaction to new Madonna music since by the gp. And please remember I'm talking about new releases. Of course a million people will show up to the free Rio show. That's not what I'm talking about here.

I would agree 
I suppose she was mentioned a lot for being pulled down the stairs at the Brits which I agree could argue shows she is was still relevant with the general public then and if it happened tomorrow it probably would get the same headlines 
But overall I would say the until the release of MDNA.  I suppose in the UK not that many people watched the Super Bowl as is more of an US event - but I still think she was liked I mean look at the reaction she got just for turning up at the premieres all over Europe for the WE movie and all eyes were on her from the public and press and not the stars of the movie  - I think just the excitement of Madonna being present overshadowed any interest in the film itself  But think the singles from MDNA were so poor and badly promoted by Interscope I think that was then the general public lost alot of interest simply because the quality of the music had declined judged by the 3 singles released even if there were some great tracks on the album

Are we forgetting that Madonna posed with police in Rio in 2017 while she was there for Guy O's wedding. two days after Rio military police shot dead a Spanish tourist leaving the Rocinha favela?
Soon after the image was uploaded to social media, it was posted by the official military police account of Rio de Janeiro. the photo attracted comments from many in Brazil who were unhappy. Among the replies, one said Madonna needed to "explain" the picture, another called the picture "inappropriate," and a third said the photo showed "disrespect" to Brazilians.
She also mentioned during the Vice meets Madonna interview for secret project that when they got to South America everything got more scary and she had to ride in bomb proof cars because she was seen as a public figure and there were lots of people with guns.
Brazil like most countries has it's own problems but like others have said approprate precautions are being taken by those organizing the event.

Some people interpret Girl With Balloon as a symbol of lost innocence, whilst others believe the girl is setting the balloon free – either way, Banksy is reminding the viewer to hold on to hope, even when it feels out of reach.

I'm dumbfounded by the idea of, "You're seriously suing Madonna for something like that?"
But on the other hand, I also think that this kind of thing sometimes necessary for Madonna these days.

Madonna Sued Again Over Delayed Concerts: ‘Total Disrespect For Her Fans’
Months after she was sued by angry New Yorkers, a group of D.C. fans say Madonna made them wait hours in a "hot, uncomfortable arena" before lip syncing her performance.

Madonna is facing another federal class action lawsuit over late starts to her concerts, this time filed by spurned Washington D.C. ticket buyers who are accusing her of showing “total disrespect for her fans.”
In a complaint filed Friday in D.C. federal court, three fans claim that the Queen of Pop broke the law by taking the stage two hours late at a pair of December concerts at the city’s Capital One Arena.
The lawsuit, which also named concert giant Live Nation as a defendant, says that the late starts amount to “a wanton exercise in false advertising.”
“Forcing consumers to wait hours for her performance in a hot, uncomfortable arena is demonstrative of Madonna’s arrogant and total disrespect for her fans,” lawyers for the fans wrote. “In essence, Madonna and Live Nation are a consumer’s worst nightmare.”
The new case comes three months after Madonna was hit with a similar lawsuit over delayed starts to December shows in New York City. That case made headlines because it claimed the fans “had to get up early to go to work” the next day – a claim Madonna’s lawyers have since argued is not the kind of “cognizable injury” that can form the basis for a lawsuit.
In Friday’s complaint, which was filed by the same lawyers as the New York case, the fans seemed intent on heading off that same kind of backlash. “This complaint is not about unhappy fans who don’t want to stay up late, but instead, reasonable, responsible people who had commitments to babysitters, work, getting their vehicles out of parking lots that closed at 12:00 midnight, and realizing that public transportation would no longer be operating.”
Like the previous case, the lawsuit is a proposed class action that aims to represent all fans who experienced similar problems from the late start. A rep for Madonna and Live Nation did not immediately return a request for comment on Monday.
Filed by fans Elizabeth Halper-Asefi, Mary Conoboy, and Nestor Monte, Jr., the new case claims that Dec. 18 and Dec. 19 tour dates on Madonna’s Celebration Tour listed an 8:30 p.m. start time, but that the shows did not start until 10:40. When the star finally did take the stage, they say she offered no apologies: “I am sorry I am late… no, I am not sorry, it’s who I am… I’m always late.”
In the earlier New York case, Madonna and Live Nation’s lawyers have argued that “no reasonable concertgoer—and certainly no Madonna fan—would expect the headline act at a major arena concert to take the stage at the ticketed event time” and that fans cannot sue over something they knew about when they bought their tickets.
But in Friday’s complaint, lawyers for the D.C. fans called that argument “absurd.”
“In fact, reasonable consumers have seen that concerts featuring Taylor Swift and Bruce Springsteen, whose tours are also promoted by Live Nation, do start on the time indicated on the ticket and have similar experiences attending Broadway theater, NFL football and Major League baseball games,” the lawyers write.
The new case includes notable new allegations beyond the delayed start. For instance, the D.C. fans also claim the venue was “uncomfortably hot” and that Madonna herself had insisted on the temperature. When fans allegedly chanted “A.C.” at her, they say she responded “f**k you! I’m cold!… If you’re hot, take your f**king clothes off!”
The new case also claims that Madonna lip synched portions of the D.C. shows – another bit of alleged false advertising to fans who expected that she would “perform her music live” from the stage. “Had plaintiffs and other class members known that … the performer would be lip synching, they would not have purchased their tickets.”

Is there an official transcript of this video available out there? I've always wanted to my own version of it in drag but I obviously need to rehearse it extensively before I film it.

I would change the packaging and track list. The first single could have been Impressive Instant as the remixes were being sent out around that time in anticipation of the album. The GHV2 Megamix would be the b-side to that single.
All songs would be slightly edited either using their official radio edits or new ones, so more songs would fit on the album.

I like the name and graphic design. The thing that need fixing is the terrible sequencing on the tracklist, chronological works way better and it desperately needed to have at least American Pie or Time Stood Still (I know why she didn't put any of those songs on it). The thing that also irks me a lil bit are the Guy Ritchie-isms on the booklet lol, but still, it's like a weird time capsule of who she was back then.

I prefer a raw voice even if it's "messy" than the studio voice from the Sticky and Sweet DVD. The borderline audio edit is a shame. It was so much better live with a raw voice. 

I fucking hate it when her concert films are made up of multiple shows.
And there is no way that she's releasing anything in 2024 that hasn't been edited first.
