I don't think any are overrated......more underrated if anything.

MDNA is a modern day music masterpiece

Okay so I know it’s hard to pick out of the 13 studio albums Madonna has released so far, however it is quite fun picking them and it’s interesting to know people’s choices and reasons why
my top 5 would be (this has changed over the years and could change again more than once)
1. Music - I feel like this album is HIGHLY underrated amongst the fans and is her most experimental album so far. Standout track has to be AMAZING!!!!!
2. Madonna - Simply good fucking music. Standout track is physical attraction
3. Erotica - all of her albums are a work of art but erotica is a gorgeous painted canvas through audio. Standout track is secret garden (one of the greatest endings to an album of all time)
4. Ray of Light - masterpiece. Standout track is swim
5. Like a Prayer/Hard Candy - can’t pick out of these two and both are very different from each other.
LAP is Madonna’s best layed out track by track album, very consistent. Standout track is oh father (one of Madonna’s best ballads).
HC is a fun album with groovy tunes, great melodies, pure pop music with a mix of urban. Standout track is heartbeat.

That album is A genius. 
Period.

Erotica certainly has gotten the acclaim it deserves but it deserves so much more. Hopefully one day
and yes Bedtime Stories is an excellent album that is so underrated. Yes Rebel Heart is also underrated

I mean thief of hearts, words are in the top 3 along with secret garden
Imo thrift of heats and words is better because it has that demo sound. To me it's aged well

I like you. COADF is a teensy bit overrated but it's an amazing album. Personally I feel that Erotica and Music are up there with LAP and ROL. Then again all her albums are up there 

Us fans know that Erotica is one of Madonna's most compelling work of art. It stands the test of time, broke so many boundaries and the songs are incredile
However this album unfortunately isn't critically acclaimed the way LAP, ROL and COADF are. Imo Erotica arguably in some way could be her best album. It's fantastic from start to finish. She only worked consistently with 2 producers on it Andre Betts and Shep Pettibone (being a co producer herself) wrote the songs along with Shep and Andre, she also managed to keep a continuing narrative story going through the album, especially with waiting/thief of hearts/words (Madonna's best song trilogy)
I understand that back in 1992 realeaisng an album like Erotica was dangerous and risky as fuck BUT in 2018 it isn't. This album should be revalued (more than what it already has been in the last few years). Rolling Stones still haven't placed it in the 500 greatest albums of all time and it absolutely deserves a spot in that list. Not just Rolling Stone magazine but Im using it as a primary example
