I’m surprised with all of what’s going on in the world… literally people are homeless without jobs coz of COVID & yet she’s planning a charity event… seriously?!?!? She can easily pay directly from her pocket without all of this shit. So true celebrities are living in another planet.

LX54 reacted to Enrico in DL: Vincent Paterson autobiography
I don't think this was shared before. In 2018 Vincent Paterson released his autobiography, and it features many pages about Madonna. One chapter offers a detailed description of their collaboration between the Pepsi ad (which I didn't know was is) and the Oscar 1991 performance, another one is about Evita.
Unfortunately, I only have the French edition in pdf to share, called "Icones and instincts". But the French members will appreciate, I hope, and other will use Google Translate maybe (you can copy and paste easily, the result is good).
After reading, I think VP is one of those who created the Madonna we all love. Before working with him, she basically used some more improvised movements, while for the Express Yourself video he created that incredibile style that makes choreography so theatrical, that shapes a persona. He was the one who suggested to end end the show with Vogue and to use Keep it together as the final number. He says that Like a virgin was originally conceived as a rock number, until he gave Madonna the Ofra Haza record and they turned it into the scene that still strikes us. He is the one who had the idea of the Marie Antoinette costumes!
The Evita chapter is very interesting, too. It tells about the difficult relationship with Alan Parker, the finding of Mr. Jabon, the need to integrate tango into the Andrew Lloyd Webber score (in fact, in the score revision for the late West End production ALW added more tango), Antonio Banderas bad ideas regarding the Waltz...

Open Your Heart remix only have three new things: Handclaps in the left channel, cowbelles, and a melody in the chorus  (this melody is also present in the immaculate version remix). Also the mix its really different: more prominent Bass, the song is almost 2% slower, etc, etc. I think the Immaculate Remix is based in the 7'' Remix but the cowbelles and the handclaps are removed.
It's the greatness of the old 7'' remixes. They sound like the album versions but so different when you pay attention to them. But this only happened with "True Blue" and "Like A Prayer" albums. Madonna returned to the classic edit without new elements with "Rescue Me".

Believe or not, I didn't like the album version, but months later I loved with passion the 7'' Remix the first time I heard it (and the video house remix). I don't understand how people don't realize the difference between the album version and the 7'' Remix. I think the same with Like A Prayer (7'' Version)
True Blue & Like A Prayer (albums) have the best 7'' remixes, because they sound like the album versions, but they are better versions.

So to Celebrate the release of the Digital EP and since we never got a proper extended at the time, I made my own here :

Bedtime Story 12'' extended mix :

8'40 minutes only using the multitrack and no additionnal production. I tried to surprise the audiance and not just add an intro and an outro but to make a mix that is different than the album version and not being too repetitive or monotonous.

Hey, so I found some obscure release of this remix as edit which is 4:19 long. I've always wanted a proper edit of this mix for my own version of "GHV2 Remixed". Therefore, I've decided to create my own edit that just so happens to have almost the same length as the """official""" edit. I'm guessing that one might be similar then.
It turned out so well that I decided to share it with you guys (in FLAC of course)!

I'm afraid you're confused, the 4m57 is the lp cut, the Everybody edit is a 3m58 chopped up edit from the extended mix.

I've listened to them so many times, I can assure you that the version featured on the cd singles collection is the LP version fading early, no Prince guitar on it... On the contrary, the 3''cd single in snap pack contains the 7'' version with guitars and all... I've read somewhere that there were two different editions of this snap pack, one containing the 7'' version with Prince guitar parts, the other the LP cut fade, which may explain with the Japanese cd singles collection features the LP fade... Can someone with better knowledge can clarify this???...

LX54 reacted to Candy Perfume Boy in Shake Your Head - Madonna Vocals HQ Remakes & Originals
    Hi,
So we know in 1992 Madonna refused permission to Was (Not Was) to release her unused 1982 vocals on the remix track "Shake Your Head (Lets Go To Bed)", so the remixes by Steve Silk Hurley had to be remade with Kim Basinger vocals. The full 12" remix with Madonna vocals was issued by error on "Now Dance 93" on vinyl and cassette only (these have quite poor sound), and the Madonna Dub was put on the CD "Somewhere in America there's a street named after my dad". The Kim Basinger version was then put out as the 12" remix and also had two official edits; the 3.45 "Single Remix" on the CD of "Now Dance 93", and just to really confuse everyone a different longer 4.00 edit on "Now 23"!!
In the folder there's all the official Madonna and Kim Basinger Versions, plus I removed Kim Basinger off the Now 23 edit and Single Remix to create Madonna and Ozzy versions, plus a solo Madonna Single Version. I also remade the 12" Remix with a CD rip removing Kim's vocals and overdubbing Madonna's vocals from my cassette rip. I'm really pleased with that one, at last it has a more pristine sound instead of crappy analogue rip quality.
So to avoid confusion they're all well labelled!
    We have;
    1. Single Remix - Madonna only vocals - fanmade
    2. Single Remix - Madonna & Ozzy - fanmade
    3. Single Remix - Kim & Ozzy - Official CD Rip
    4. Dub - Madonna & Ozzy - Official CD Rip
    5. 12" Remix - Madonna & Ozzy - Official Cassette Rip
    6. 12" Remix - Madonna & Ozzy - Digital remake with CD backing track
    7. 12" Remix - Kim & Ozzy - Official CD Rip
    8. Now 23 Edit - Madonna & Ozzy - fanmade
    9. Now 23 Edit - Kim & Ozzy - Official CD Rip
