I'm pretty sure Jellybean confirmed on his Instagram that he did both Burning Up remixes in the same session and yes, MTV was more rock at the time, hence the "video version."

Nobody loves the original Burning Up mix like I do... I feel so alone...  It was my first contact with HER when I was only 11 years old.

Now, speaking seriously: it's a shame that people have forgotten that the original mix was released to be played in clubs, long before The First Album was even considered. It was obviously later remixed (twice) to fit with the rest of the album.

Actually, the commercial release of Dress You Up in Canada did include the remix/edit - untitled. I own a copy and can confirm.

You are absolutely right. A lot of people, the first time they heard 'ROL,' thought it was too strange and noisy. Not everyone loved it when the single was released. Then, gradually, people started to love the song. 'Frozen' was the perfect choice as the first single at that time.

There were talks of her wanting and being involved with this movie since the late 80s as @Donnasaid. This nonsense that she softened her image to win this role is so exagerated. 
Madonna is a smart woman and she changes as seasons go. She wouldn't keep doing Dita over and over again even if Erotica was the biggest selling album ever.

The only thing we have for a fact is her text on Something to Remember about dialing down the fanfare and bringing back the focus to the music.

The pink cover is definitely new for Europe. Maybe it existed in other territories. There was only ever the grey & red cover previously.

It's actually genius when you think the house sound of Vogue transitions perfectly in Rescue Me and then its spoken word style goes directly to JML which in turn ends perfectly with Erotica for both style and sound and theme. Absolutely GOATed career transition. So smooth you might slip on it like a wet floor

So was Gambler Bye Bye Baby Drowned World & Keep It Together. A 2024 remaster would be great. 

There’s a loneliness and vulnerability in The Look Of Love that is utterly haunting and something rarely on display in Madonna songs. The fact that was the third and most forgotten single of the campaign, and indeed the 80’s, further compounds what I said above. A further rejection and humiliation that just makes the song feel even more lonely and abandoned, which has always been kind of poetic to me. It has always been the perfect link to the Like A Prayer album in its serious and melancholy tone. How she was ultimately to feel about Sean. A foretelling if you will. It also waves goodbye to that first pop incarnation of her 80’s persona before she focuses on her new incarnation of Madonna the artist. Never more white blonde on its single sleeve than ever before, right before she goes back to her dark roots.  It’s top ten Madonna for me hands down I absolutely never tire of it and the live arrangement on the WTG tour is one of my all time favourites of hers. 

Was not a Fan of that Album when it was released., i grow older and wiser....in some parts.

I was able to recreate Just A Dream with Madonna's voice thanks to AI. I don't like it very much but since so many have requested it I uploaded it to soundcloud but unfortunately it deletes it because of copyright so I had to upload only one clip.
