Dali is the inspiration for the Celebration Tour look and feel. Paying homage to an artist is so old school Madonna.

I want a NYC club centric intro video that features clips of her early club days and videos followed by Everybody, Physical Attraction, Lucky Star, Into the Groove and Borderline.

I could be wrong, but I've always understood Bob The Drag Queen to be the opening act.  He won't be a deterrent as he's not a musical act and can liven up the room with humor and pro-love/anti-hate messaging.  I have stayed quiet on the Taylor tour... I know she's had to re-record her works to be free from contractual BS, but calling a tour at her age Era's is premature... I know she's the biggest thing since sliced bread at the moment, and this tour is extremely successful for her, but Eras for Taylor is just not my cup of tea.  She's not my cup of tea but thats ok.
I do see Madonna, like Taylor, doing a longer set lit for her tour.  Madonna has so many tracks to choose from and a lot of shorter edits are likely.... thinking intro section for MDNA Tour.  I also could see a section of the tour like in Rebel Heart where she does a spontaneous different song each night to appease the crowds.

It's not a greatest hits tour. It's a celebration of four decades. If she records something new it falls in those four decades and she can perform them on this tour. 
Madonna: Four Decades. The Celebration tour. Says nothing about greatest hits.
Don't be disappointed if her set list is not all hits. For example if she does a NY section she could easily play I Love New York and that wasn't a hit.

Yeah but it's not in the title and that's what matters. I think it's a celebration of her career not just her hits. It's all promo. Let's face it she's going to play non hits to fit a theme and a few new songs. It's Madonna she never plays by the rules.

And to add to that, it would be like asking why MTV mattered in the 80's.  Like mentioned, it's how music is consumed.  MTV helped artists become even more successful.  Today, social platforms like Tik Tok add to that and help expose people to trends in music or allow them to become aware of artists and their music whether it's new or old.    

They matter cause streaming is the main form of music consumption now. It's like talking about sales twenty, thirty, forty years ago.
And she doesn't chart on the Hot 100 cause even with high numbers on new songs, she'd need even higher ones to chart.
