The director was wrong. That Jean harlow exagerated hairstyle was really specific and original. The other hairstyle had already kinda been seen several times before the "Secret" video and wasn't really new or exciting. The Harlow big hairstyle was unsual, had a strong image and a impact, it had its own identity, just like the cowboy hat the black wig from Frozen. That harlow hairstyle was amazing with the rnb beat of the song, while M walking down the streets of Harlem. Iconic. The director played it safe and it's not the way to go with Madonna' work. No wonder she hasn't worked with her after that.

Well... It's not real HD. The video is upscaled at 1080p. But one thing is good: At least the video is upscaled from a master tape, not from a compressed DVD or VHS.

This is great but I do think it’s a bit of a shame they didn’t release a digital only remixes album / playlist first to give them some promo. That would be such a cheap easy fix as a lead into the full maxis being released. 
 
I find the lack of consistent Madonna remix albums very odd considering so much of her musical career has been based around DJs and remixes and number 1 club hits. 
 
We are also unlikely to get Let Down Your Guard and Erotic as part of this package.

SO TRUE ABOUT HER SPEAKING VOICE! I'm glad I'm not the only one who thinks that. She has so much... color tone and variations even when it comes to her speaking voice omg!
We have so many Madonnas to choose from yet there has only been one. WOW that's the magic of being a Madonna megafan.

So true. And just think of how many artists have signature voices. One signature voice.... and that's an achievement. Now think of how many distinct Madonna voices we have. (Some are not distinct and could potentially be anyone) EVEN SPEAKING VOICES! Think of her Blond Ambition hoarse voice. 
But she also literally could have been 40 different singers throughout her career and no one could have known it was the same person unless someone pointed it out. 
and just now thinking about it... Think about Erotica... The first four songs have ALL different voices. 
 I think something that sets her apart is she becomes the character singing the song and the voice changes with it. Sorry to bring this person in... and no shade... but for instance Mariah... mostly sounds the same and its always Mariah singing a song. Now Mariah sings this song. and now that one.  Madonna becomes something other than herself and emotes, and brings the song to life. Not just a voice recital of technicality. AGAIN! No shade.

I debated including it, but my rationale eventually was: it was the Erotica team who created it during the middle of creating Erotica, so why not include it?
Plus it's pretty forgotten and underrated for a #1 single, time to give it some love!

@OceanBlueNo particular reason for that, it could always be amended to include both versions. But I had to make some calls on what would fit on a disc of demos - a lot of the Rain Tape demos were axed from that because of how damaged or close to the album versions they are.
