I think sometimes we forget that this woman has a 40-year career and undoubtedly has a huge collection of demos, unreleased songs, remixes, and edits. But we’re fortunate that she still releases small albums with unreleased material, even if it’s in such an unconventional way.
As someone who has been a fan of other bands that lasted only a short time, it’s sad to see that, over 40 years, they’ve just released the same compilations a hundred times with the songs in different order and with different covers..

Cassettes have given me many hours of joy, especially the Walkman, and I’ve had high-end cassette players. But I’ve always hated the sound, and I’ve spent a lot of time with a screwdriver trying to adjust the azimuth of each tape to make it sound as good as possible. As a collectible item, fine, I’ll buy it. But for listening, no, never—the cassette is a thing of the past for me.

People may not yet understand that in real life, they hear various sounds from different sources, not just from 2 but even from 50 different sources when they are, for example, at a party. It's sad that they confuse the fact that humans have two ears with receiving sound from only two sources.

I remember Shirley singing "erotic, erotic, put your hands all over my body" in the intro of # 1 Crush in her concert. Maybe she was aware of that and used something similar.

I saw an interview where she mentioned "Frozen" as the perfect transition from her previous album (BS) and the new sound in ROL album. I think it was a smart choice.

Of the standard album tracks, it's my least favorite. Redundant and not so pleasant sounding in the "You push me" delivery.

That's such an amazing song. I just love it lot. 

It’s a good song that reminds me of trying to poop while constipated; which I think was her intention.

The constant "You push me" would make it a fun singalong song for a live performance.

I tried. But I skip this and "Like It Or Not".

A big fav of mine as well.  I always thought it would have been a good single release in the U.S.

It’s all about the breakdown at 02:45 for me. I’ve always loved this song, it’s a moody slow jam.

It always reminds me of Who's That Girl song but more modern and exotic. Good track!

I love it too. This song reminds me a bit of Britney's "In The Zone" album sound but the lyrics are very Madonna in "IGTTYAS" phase with the "a better version of myself" quote. Bloodshy & Avant worked in Britney's album and produced "How High" and "Like It Or Not" on Confessions. Such a fantastic Era for M!
